Tba Indiana still continue lo commit gteat outrages upon our Southern brethren on the bordera of Georgia and in Florida. It m auted that tbe Cherokee are also becoming quite restless, and feara ate
entertained that they will commence hos
tilities. Indeed it is rumoured that they
have already burnt a place called Cedar-
town, and that they insolently demanded
supplies of cattle, corn shx from the
whites.
Should the Cherokees toin the Creeks
and Seminole, tbe Indian war will become qaite formidable sad setiously alarming.

4o. Not having observed the intro
duction of a distinct bill into the
Hons for a change ol the road in
Ohio, we have been under the impression that the bill of the Senate for
the Continuation of the Cumberland
JtoncL after having been referred to
the Road Committee of the House, was saddled with an amendment to
Mafia the location in Ohio, and an-
4&er to convert it into a Rail road from Columbus to tbe Mississippi; and that this bill, so amended, has been rejected by the House. If this be the case, then we need not expect
aa appropriation this year; but if the
chamge of location was embraced :n a separate bill, we may have some
hope yet. We perceive by the Globe,
that on the 21 st uiu, Mr. vanderpoel
moved a reconsideration of the vote,
y which the bill amendatory of the act for the continuation of the Cumberland Road, was rejected; which motion was entered and lies over." Anxious as the people near this part of the road are for its completion, they would ratJier have no appropriation at this time, than to see it converted to a rail road.
