FARMERS, SCHOOL HEADS !N PREBLE TO HOLD BANQUET EATON, Ohio, Feb. 10. A banquet given the fanners and school superintendents of Preble county Feb. 15 by the Eaton Chamber of Commerce will initiate plans for a three-day corn show March 1, 2, and 3. The president and secretary of every township farmers' association, master and lecturer of each grange, and superintendents of all schools in the county will be guests of the chamber. The banquet will be served in the K. of P. hall, and the promoters of the corn show will explain their plans. It is hoped this get-together meeting will be the first of a series that will promote friendly relations between" city and farm. First, second, third, fourth and fifth prizes of $10, $6. $5, ?3, and $2 respectively, are offered for 10 ear B&mples of white, yellow and mixed corn in the corn show which will be held In the courthouse. Equal premiums will be offered for the boys' corn Judging class which will be conducted Saturday. There will be a single ear class also. Wallace Hanger . of the crops department of Ohio State university ha3 been secured as the corn Judge, .and will give a lecture and Judging demonstration on Friday. He also will conduct the boys Judging contest Saturday. Silver cups awarded for this contest will becttne the permanent property of the boys if won for three years in succession. A special premium of a $25 silver cup will be awarded for the best 50 ear corn display, and also will be the property of the winner if he succeeds in retaining it at the next two corn shows. "Reckless" Raben to Climb Wescott Hotel Building "Reckless" Ruben, who claims to be the original "human fly." will climb the Wtstcott hotel building Saturday night at 7:30 o'clock. Weather conditions will have no effect on his plans, he declares. According to Ruben, he has been practicing "human fly" stunts for the past 10 years. He says he is an ex-service .man. - HEALTH MEETING FEB. 23 EATON, Ohio, Feb. 10. The third of a series of health meetings will be held here Feb. 23. Mrs. Mary Shank called on Mrs. Rufus Stinson, Wednesday afternoon. Relatives here received word of, the death of Dave Waiting which occurred at Reid hospital, Wednesday morning. He was taken to the hospital about 10 day3 ago and underwent an operation. He leaves several relatives near here. He lived near Abington. To Elect Miami Milk Producers9 Head March 24 EATON, Ohio, Feb. 10. -Charles Stockslager has been nominated the Preble county candidate for Preble county delegate of the Miami Valley Milk Producers' association by the advisory council. The election of officers will be held March 24. It i3 announced that the building for the association's plant in Dayton has been completed and that the equipment has been purchased. It is expected that the plant will be in operation about the first of April.

Children Are Warned Not to Damage Hedges Several complaints have been made to police that children have been damaging hedges around the yards of various homes in the city. Chief of Police Eversman wishes the parents to instruct their children to refrain from Jumping over the hedges. Income tax returns are now due and should be filed without delay Delays are often times the cause of errors.' A "social night," the first of the sort to be staged, will be promoted by the Franklin township farmers' association Monday night, Feb. 12, in the Whitewater school building.
