HIGH STUDENTS WORK TO PERFECT MUSICAL REVUE OF EXCELLENCE
The Lewis Davia Musical Revue, consisting of a" "jazz band" and a bevy of clever, beautiful girls, who tan sins, dance -and make music on any kind of instrument, will headline the vaudeville bill to be presented Friday and Saturday nights, Feb. 2 and 3. by students of Morton high school in the high school auditorium at' 8 o'clock. Much time' has been snent rehearsing by the members of ihe cast. Miss Elizabeth Kolp has been giving personal attention to those who have special dances, and under her instructions they all have mastered i he art of shaking their feet in commendable style. Meloy and Pettibone will offer a special blackface skit entitled "Dark Clouds." These two girls have unlimited talent In their line of work and should put their act across without much trouble. They have spent much lime in preparation.
"Gus" Pfafflitt, known as the king of tramps, will offer an act entitled "Bottle Top Pete." Gus- has the art of winning favor with an audience and
should present a mirth-making: act. Jay and Ryan are to be introduced as a "couple of bums". Wise cracks nd sayings will be part of their offering. Davis and Miller will present what probably ia one of the wittiest acts seen on an amateur vaudeville stage. A "high brown" and a "regular Dixie gentleman" who know how to talk, laugh and act like a couple of duskies from the southland. Mrs. William Morrey deserves special credit in her efforts as the coach and sponsor of this act, as she has given much time and attention in making it a sure-fire offering. Van Elten and Vice will present "Twelve minutes of Fun and Frolic", doing special cartoon work and a little of every thing else in the way of jokes
and wise sayings. Little of Everything "Bill" Romey will offer an act billed as "Versatility", doing everything from making music on a "Jew's Harp" to playing selections on his violin. Mikesell and Lanier will close the bill with an offering entitled "Stage Struck." They are two clever young girls who sing and dance with much ability. Lewis Davis, as manager of the "Frenzied Frollies of 1923," has worked hard in getting ready to present his entertainment. J. E. Maddy will have charge of the
MAN SHOT RESISTING SERVING OF WARRANT
CLEVELAND, Ohio, Jan. 30. Peter J. McClain, 26, was shot and probably fatally wounded early today by members of a police flying squadron. The police had surrounded his home while attempting to serve a. warrant on him. Four officers ran in pursuit when he started to escape firing as they ran. McClain fell after running a quarter of a mile. The bullet pierced his back. The man is alleged to have offered
to sell lots for owners while working for a real estate firm. Money obtained for expenses was alleged to have been misapplied.

shot accidentally.
special orchestra which will accompany the acts during the entertainment.
