GRAIN PRICES (Markets by Lamson Bros. & Co., 212 Union National Bank Building.) . O'y Associated Press) CHICAGO. Jan. 27. Grains value averaged lower most of the day, despite local buying in an effort to stimulate an advance. All upturns meet pressure and final prices were down below those of last night. Lack of export buying and continued depressing news from Liverpool were the chief factors responsible for the weakness. The winter wheat belt did not receive the moisture expected and only sporadic showers were reported in the Argentine corn belt. These conditions, however, were lost sight of in view of the unfavorable news from abroad. Further agriculture credit talk emanated from Washington, but action in that direction i3 unlikely until European conditions grow better. RALLY IN MARKET
SHOWN IN WEEK'S PRICES OF WHEAT CHICAGO, Jan. 27. After Sailing
to the lowest price since the first week
in December, the wheat market this week has shown some rallying power aided by a senate committee's favorable action on the bill to provide an
export credit fund of $250,000,000. Piling up of the United States visible supply of wheat -was previously acting as a weight on value. Compared
with a week ago, wheat this morning
was c to lc down; corn varying
from c decline to c gain; oats c off to c up, and provisions varying from a setback of 27c to 10c advance. At the extreme low point reached by the wheat market, prices showed
more than 11 cents a bushel drop from recent top figures. With export
business meagre and with, further shrinkage of European buying power in pro?pect as a result of the strife between Germany and France, and
because of other European dissen
tions, the wheat market was under very heavy selling pressure before reactions began. Rainy weather in the domestic winter, wheat territory counted meanwhile as a further bearish influence
Com and oats were steadied by the
government report tnat tne number or holdings on farni greatly exceeded the total a year ago. Packers' selling led 'o a decline in most of the provision list.

NEW YORK, Jan. 27. Stock prices, particularly railroad issues moved to higher ground in this week's market, but bond prices continued reactionary under the depressing influence of renewed weakness in the French and Belgium liens, and the competition of a larger volume of new offerings. Movements in the stock market indicated thnt domestic conditions are the dominant factor in the, determination of quoted values, but that the European situation is causing a curtailment of business and an absence of public participation making it essentiallly a traders' market.
BUDDHISTS OBJECT TO JAP ENVOY AT VATICAN LONDON, Jan. 27 The Buddhists in Japan are seriously objecting to the sending of a Japanese diplomatic representative to the Vatican, says a dispatch from Tokio to the Central News.
