GITY'S YOUNG PEOPLE INVITED TO ATTEND LOCAL CONFERENCE
Young people of all denominations and young people not affiliated with any church organization 'will be welcome to attend the young people's conference which Is' to be held at the First Presbyterian church next Wednesday afternoon and night, according to Information given out Friday. When those in charge of the conferonce learned that the Indian opera to be staged under the auspices of the American Legion band falls on the tame evening, an effort was made to get the speakers for the conference to arrange to come at a different time, but since this could not be accomplished, plans for the conference are being completed as at first contemplated. Speakers for the conference, as announced, are C. C. Hamilton, of Boston, Mass., field manager of the Christian Endeavor World, and Evan Williams of Fort Wayne, field secretary
of the Indiana Christian Endeavor, Union. : The Wednesday afternoon session of the conference will be held at 4:30 o'clock, after which supper will be served at the church at 6:30 o'clock. Tickets for the supper will be on sale at So cents each. The evening session of the conference, which will be held at 7:30 o'clock, will be a large mass meeting of young people of all denomi
nations and will be addressed by Mr. Hamilton and Mr. Williams. A mass meeting of all young people of the city who are interested in the conference at the First Presbyterian church will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock to form a mass class for singing at the conference. Another feature of the preparation for the conference-is the young people's orchestra rehearsal which will be held Tuesday night at7:30 o'clock at the First Pres
byterian church under the direction of Prof. J. E. Maddy. The conference is to be conducted as a part of the uplift and inspirational movement for young people which is being encouraged for young people of all denominations in all parts of the country.
