of diversion. The set was a combination of hotel lobby and dance hall. In the dance hall or casino, were the bar, a mammoth fireplace, a stage in the rear center for entertainers, and tables lined the space kept open for the dancers. On either side of the large halls were boxes, in two tiers, where the dancing girls and the fur-clothed habitues of the place

wined and dined and reveled. The cast includes David Mitchell Lewis, Edward J. Leigh Wyant, Will Walling, Littlefield and Guy Oliver.

RICHMOND A man hard as iron, who believes only in himself, but who has the utmost confidence in his own powers, is depicted by William S. Hart in, his new Paramount picture, "Travelin" On," directed by Lambert Hillyer, who also sce, narized the drama from Mr. Hart's own story. "'J. B." a cattle brand is what the hero calls himself. He rides into town and makes everyone respect him. Even the itinerant preacher and his beautiful wife, learn to feel that he is a man among men, but they can not induce him to admit his belief in a higher power than himself. How finally he comes tp realize that man alone can not always control human events, how love softens his heart and results in a great sacrifice these things are told in a drama that Is one of the most compelling ever shown on the screen. Ethel Grey Terry Is the wholesome and lovely heroine, and there are many other fine actors in the cast. Undoubtedly this is an ideal western drama of the type that has made Mr. Hart famous and endeared him to picture fans. The picture conies to the Richmond theatre Sunday.

Bluefish Described As Glutton Of The Ocean The bluef ish -is a rough and ready fighter, but he Is a rapacious rascal, as well, and probably more destructive to other fishes than any creature which Inhabits the sea, says the De- . rtoit News. A school of bluef ish will cut through a shoal of menhaden or weakfish with chopping jaws, leaving the water thickly strewn with the remains of their quarry, and then turn round and do it all over again. It is said that he will, following the custom in vogue among ancient Romans, disgorge the contents of his stomach to make room for more.
