1CHES, OPPORTUNITY " OFFERED BY MEXICO TO ALL WHO COME MEXICO CITY In 'its far flung

reaches from the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of California, and from the American border to that of Guatemala, wHh her brooding, enow-capped mountains, and vast valleys, shimmering In vari

colored flora and with fragrant rruitage, from the temperate to the tropical zones, Mexico offers not only an abundance of raw material but undreamed of wealth for any one who desires to corns

and take it

The vast lands, abounding in the ;

rarest vegetation, are practically vir- .

gin, and soil, that would make an in

telligent farmer rich beyond the dream of avarice, yields at present a scant living to those that hold it Men, knowing how to take advantage oi x opportunity that is offered in Mexico,

have long since become rich; although, strange to say, they do not advertise it from the house tope.

Mr. Fred McDaniels, the Manager

of the Roaaria Dairy Farm, knowing that the soil had been neglected, and knowing also that there was the rich-,

est ort of subsoil, literally turned over the soil of the entire farm, a meter in depth, at a cost of something like five cents American money per square meter, and is now getting alfalfa that is the wonder of the beholder. This farm is within a couple of miles or so from

the center of the city of Mexico. Land -Uncultivated Less than three hours travel by automobile from the city of Mexico, in a valley that appears like an enchanted garden, at an elevation of about 4000 feet above sea level, lies the town of Cuernavaca. It is surrounded by lands, sufficiently fertile to provide food for the half of Europe. But it is virtually uncultivated. There are fruits which, if canned and once tasted, would be in constant demand at fair prices the wide world over, Cordoba, in the State of Veracruz, on the Atlantic Coast, has many excellent plantations of the delicious mango fruit, pine apple and tobacco.. The town of Huasteca in the neighboring State of Tamaulipas, produces oranges that for Juiciness, sweetness

and weight cannot be excelled by either the products of California or Florida. The tobacco in that district equals, if it doe3 not excel, that of Cuba and Sumatra; and, but for lack of expert treatment and trade enterprise, would soon rival all other tobaccos in the world's markets. "What a magnificent opportunity for American genius and initiative. Wonderful Coffee The coffee, grown in many parts of Mexico, reaches the apex of perfection at Uruapam and Sierra Oaxaca. This coffee will stand favorable comparison with the best Mocha and is far ahead of all other coffees in the market. As yet neither the Mexican planter nor &rv American' has made any attempt to push this magnificent opportunity, to success.

. Anothed opportunity is offered in Mexico, to any one who would cultivate the cocoa, which the Mexican Indians had cultivated long before the Spanish conquest but which now is not enough to supply the local demand and millions of pounds are imported each year into Mexico, as the people are very fond of it , Among the precious woods, hard woods of every description, is the "yellow tree," which-'the natives tap, lite a maple for syrup, and which yields a most substantial rubber, and of which there are far reaching forest practically untouched. This and the ordinary rubber plant, found almost on every plantation in the various States near the Gulf of Mexico, constitute a wealth not computable, and all that Is needed to get this treasure is energy, intelligently directed, an energy that will . induce the people to build roads by a system of common interest; but he who would accomplish this must not be a predatory baron, who, enriching himself, would not only impoverish but enslave those that gave him the mean

to accomplish this magnificent end. For such there is no room in Mexico. The Mexico today is wide awake, and she is jealous for the welfare of the people by whose grace a wise government Is firmly established. Vast Amount of Oif The Oil fields that are Mexico's great claim to wealth, are too well known to need extensive mention. But for thosev aclting sufficient Information, it may be stated that the veins whence this precious fluid flows from the heart of the earth, are but the smallest and most insignificant of the great arteries. There is so very much oil in Mexico that it would be presumpteous to even indicate the amount Honest men, not despoilers, have an Open Sesame for vast wealth

in Mexico, if they care to invest and not smite the hand that offers the gift

As a metal mining country Mexico

easily stands in the front rank among the metal producing countries of the

world. Fifty miles from the City of Mexico, In a town called Pachuca, in the State of Hidalgo, i3 the largest silver mine In the world. It is British owned and worked with astonishing energy, and they are not frightened by the bug bear of "revolution" which, thanks to the tactful and energetic manner of President Obregon, is a thing of the past Mexico is just beginning to breathe freely under the blessings of a peace well earned and her future is secure.
