ing here Saturday morning at 10 o'clock in the Presbyterian church, it: has been announced by the committee in' charge of the meeting. Nor will -there be any seats reserved for the meeting, Mrs. Sunday will address in .the Christian church at the same time her husband is speaking in the other church nearby, the committee states. "First come, first served," is the way the committee puts it. The committee will send an automobile to Dayton to bring the Sunday party to Eaton and immediately after the meetings will convey the party ' back to Dayton. er and the Rev; A. C. Barnhart, local ministers, in charge. The local Ministerial association Is

Furnishing $500 bond, Fred Becker, 19 years old, of near Peru, Ind., was
released Thursday from the county jail, where he had been held several days in default of bond, pending action
of the grand jury on a charge of auto

They entered pleas of guilty in a
squire's court and were held to the grand jury. Thus far Oldfather has been unable to furnish $500 for his re

to traffic Dec. 13. The street Is being permitted to "cure." The improvement
was under construction several weeks and it is said the completed streets Joins up and completes and improved highway joining Dayton and Indianapolis. It is expected the West Main street new concrete bridge will be opened at the same time the street Is opened. His ideas of how business success may be achieved here, were expressed by O. A. Garver, Strarburg, Ohio, mftrchant, in a talk here Thursday night, at a chamber of commerce banquet in the Pythian temple. He spoke modestly of a large department store he operates in Strasburg, which is. reputed to do a million dollar business annually, and that in a village of several hundred people. GET CHRISTMAS SEALS All citizens of Richmond who subscribed $5 or more in the Community Chest campaign last summer are receiving Christmas seals from the Wayne county Christmas steal committee by virtue of their contributions to the Welfare League. , - Because of the chest plan of raising funds, there will be no Christmas seal campadgn in Richmond this year, it Is announced, and the committee, which is affiliated with the Social Service bureau, a participating organization in the Community Chest, is taking
this method to express its apprecia
tion for the co-operation of the com munity in conducting its work.-
The plan for the distribution of the
seals provides that those who con
tributed $5 or more receive 20 Bealn;
$10 or more, 35 seals; $15 or more.
50 seals; $20 or more, 75 seals; $25
or more, 100 seals.
Sale of the eeal3 will be conducted
in Wayne county, outside of Richmond. The budget for the Richmond work of the Wayne county Tubercu
losis committee will be raised by the
welfare league at the time of the next Community Chest campaign. Although there will be no campaign in Richmond, seals will be. on sale in the office of the Social Service bureau, the lobby of the post office and probably a few other places, which will be announced later. '

EATON, Ohio, Dec 8. Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Barrett, 78 years old, who died Wednesday afternoon in the home of her son, Thomas A. Barrett, a few hours aftor being stricken with paralysis, will be conducted Saturday morning at 8:30 o'clock in the home, Vine street, according to arrangements at this time. Burial will be at Middletown, Ind. Mrs. Barrett is survived only by her son, whose wife was accidentally electrocuted by an electric wire in her home last spring. MRS. ANGELINA HOFFMAN ' WINCHESTER, Ind., Dec 8. Mrs. Angelina Hoffman, 82 years of age, died here at her home on South Meridian street, at 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon. She had been bedfast 6ince April. She leaves her husband, Daniel E. Hoffman; a son, Riley H.
Hoffman, and one daughter, Mrs. Nellie Clevenger. Funeral services will
be held from the home, at 2 o'clock
Saturday afternoon, with the Rev. O. T. Martin of the Methodist church, officiating. Interment will be in Fountain Park cemetery.
