AMUSE!

MURRETTf Putting thousands of dollars into a "Venture that la new and untried is a 1041161 requiring mature deliberation; and it was because of tniB reason that Oliver Morosco, noted theatrical producer, waited many years before he entered the motion Diettire nrodnrin? field. That he would eventually do bo nas always been assured by the valuable rights to plays and productions that he has retained over a long chain of years. That he has now decided to enter motion picture production can be re garded as conclusive proof that, in his opinion, screen artistry and mechani cal perfection has reached the stage where the finished product can now be calculated in advance with some degree of certainy instead of looking upon it as mere gamble, as was form erly the case. Mr. Morosco's first venture in the film field is "The Hall Breed." the current First National attraction at the Morrette theatre. It is a stirring drama of western life, presenting a vital problem of the red "man. Wheeler Oakmaa plays the title role, with Ann May and Mary Anderson as fem inine leads. MURRAY VAUDEVILLE "Stealers" of the best songs and tteps of Broadway are not behind prison bars. Par too clever are they to Suffer such ignominy, yet they appear regularly before the public in all of their glory and are roundly applauded for their daring adventures in their land of achievement. Shf The "master thief is in town with his followers. He's even announced that he win stay here until the last performance of the present Murray vaudeville bill Saturday night. His name? Henry Antrim, and he's been here before, too. Strange, but he was married right here ia one of our churches two years ago, and his bride was well known by the best citicens. During his stay here now ho is presenting a program ef the songs and dances which he boldly admits he took from the heart of Broaflway, and the health of wardrobe and lavish manner in which the offering is staged makes the act a marked success. Milton and Lehman admit "all nuts do not grow on trees, Bo do we. Never mind, though, boys, the squirrels have their winter's supply. It's mostly with songs that the team entertains and the lads surely know their "stuff." The Tulsa Sisters, "modest little things," still have a little grace to achieve before one can score their dancing program 100 per cent, but the girls are a welcome addition to the "till and their costumes aro wonderfully nice frocks to gaze upon. We're half convinced Rialto and Lamont are not paying their first visit to this Quaker city, and with this impression can not restrain being glad they have returned. Some of the best laughs of the show are inspired by the couple, and the balancing feats in the offering are justly commendable. Edith Hallor, in "Just Outside the Door," ia the film attraction. MARVIN. "HONEY BUNCH" Richmond heartily supported the second day's performance of "Honey Bunch, playing at the Washington theatre, and were rewarded with another half comic, half beautiful production. The personality of Curley Burns surmounts all difficulties and stands out conspicuously as the "star feature of the "Honey Bunch" miniature musical comedy. "Saint and Sinner" was the title of -
