DANGE REGULATION Three Richmond ministers advo
cated the curbing of dances in the city in short talks before the city council
Monday night The ministers were Rev. V, Howard Brown Rev. .Tnsenh
J. Rae and Rev. W. McClean Work.
The ministers were present as citi
zens to listen to the council s discussion on tUe dance ordinance, and Mayor Lawrence A. Hadley called on them for their views. The ministers ex
pressed approval , of councils efforts to regulate dances. V Assessment of $25 yearly on all dance halls with a space of 3,000 feet or less ta nrnnosed in the ordinance.
Fifty dollars would be assessed for
floors with 6pace exceeding 3,000 feet.
