REPORT OF BUSINESS III FEDERAL DISTRICT : VERY SATISFACTORY y - . ; , By Associated -Press) - "" ST., LOUIS, Mo, Not. 29. Continued growth In business In the Eighth Federal Reserve district Is not ' ed In the monthly report of the St Louis Federal Reserve bank issued today. While prices were advanced in .many - lines buying has been on greater scale than any month since 1919. Apprehension is felt, however, the report stated, that this buying ac
tivlty will decrease if prices continue
to rise.
Increased prices of farm products were reported, and the rise in cotton prices has been beneficial to the south.
the report continued. . v
The fuels situation - is nearlng nor
mal, and the most unfavorable feat
ure in . the whole district is the car
shortage, it was added..
"Despite an advancing In prices of
many important lines of commodities,'
the report said, "buying has been on
an impressive scale, with the aggre-
- gate volume the largest for this par
ticular BeaBon since 1919. Some com
plaints were heard of backwardness
in the movement of certain goods, due
to unusually warm weather, but these
were mainly from the retail branch of distribution and by no means the
general rule.
"Rather generally" among reporting
manufacturing and distributing Inter
ests there Is expresed dissatisfaction with the rising trend of commodity prices, especially "of manufactured goods, which they seem to think is
progressing more swiftly than funda
mental conditions warrant. Apprehension Is felt that if the upward movement proceeds much further it may result in a cessation of buying. Thl"
feature Is pointed out as the chief menace existing at present to the
continuance of business activity."

Quaker Oats Cooks to perfection in 3 to 5 minutes
The Quick Style The quickest-cooking oats in the world Now your grocer has Instant Quaker Oats, as well as the regular Quaker. The Instant cooks in a hurry. It cooks to perfection in 3 to 5 minutes. It isthe quickest-cooking oats in the world, : Thin flakes, partly cooked In flavor and quality tlie two styles are identical. Both are flaked from queen grains only- just the rich, plump, flavory oats. We get but ten pounds of Quaker Oats from a bushel. And that super-flavor has made this brand the leading oat dish the world over. But in Instant Quaker the oats are cut before flaking. They are rolled very thin and are partly cooked. So the flakes are smaller Aid thinner that is all, And those small, thin flakes cook quickly. ... Now Quaker Oats offers you two great advantages. It offers you flavor -which no other oats can match. And it offers, if you wish, the only oats that cook in from 3 to 5 minutes. For one or both of these reasons you want Quaker Oats. Be sure that you get it, and get the style you want.
