AND SUN-TELEGRAM, RICHMOND, IND., FRIDAY, NOV. 17,
Travelers Notes By Post C Scribe There seems to be a great deal more interest manifest in Post C for we have noticed an increased attendance at our Friday and Saturday night meetings. Members are displaying their old time interests in the affairs of the post and we predict the coming winter, will prove to be one of the most enjoyable ones, the post has ever experienced. Let there be a big crowd at our weekly "roasts." The forty-second annual "Coon Hunt, 'of the "Straight Way," Bible class of the Milton Christian Sunday school was held on Friday night, Nov. 10. There were 60 men and boys participated, and a grand time was had by every one who was so for tunate to attend. Delegations were there from Muncie. Richmond, Cam bridge City and Centerville. The scribe was there, and assisted in saw ing down one of the trees. Th net result in same, were: two large raccoons and three "possums." The amount of fun had cannot be estimated. The "boss of the hunt," was our fellow member. Ed Posey Jones, the cham pion "Prune Peddler," of western Wayne. He was1 "master of the hounds." Boss of the lantern bearers, and I was informed, he filed the cross cut saws, used in felling the trees. Also "Hot Dog" and onion slicer, and "whipper in." The hunt wa3 held some six miles southwest from Milton, and to give our readers some idea of the time consumed, will state that it was 6 o'clock on the following morning, when the Richmond delegation arrived in Richmond. Very sorry indeed that the grand old hunter of Post C, Ed Thacher, could not be with us, as it would have reminded him of "old times." On Tuesday, Nov. 14, the scribe attended the funeral of Major M. M. Lacey, at Fountain City, which was attended by a large conconrse of people, not only from this native town, but there were many there from out in the state of Indiana, as well as other states. Services were held at the Friends Meeting House at Fountain City. Major Lacey passed away at TOO MUCH MEAT HURTS KIDNEYS Take a Glass of Salts to Flush Kidneys if Bladder Bothers You. Eating too much meat may produce kidney trouble in some form or other, says a well-known authority, because the uric acid excites the kidneys, they become overworked; get sluggish; clog up and cause all sorts of distress, particularly backache and misery in the kidney region; rheumatic twinges, severe headaches, acid stomach, constipation, torpid liver, sleeplessness, bladder and urinary irritation. The moment your back hurts or kidneys aren't acting right, or if bladder bothers you, get about four ounces of Jad Salts from any good pharmacy; take a tablespoonful in a glass of water before breakfast for, a few days and your kidneys .may then act fine. This famous salts is made from the acid of grapes and lemon juice, combined with lithia, and has been used for generations to flush clogged kidneys and stimulate them to normal activity; also to neutralize the acids in the urine so that it no longer irritates, thus often ending bladder disorders. Jad Salts cannot injure anyone; makes a delightful effervescent lithiawater drink which millions of men and ! women take now and then to help keep the kidneys ana urinary organs clean, thus often avoiding serious kidney disorder. the home of Ancil Dwiggins, our fellow T. P. A. member. Major Lacey was one of the best known , men in eastern Indiana, and was held in the very highest esteem, by every one who was
so fortunate as to come in contact with him. A great soldier, a patriotic citi zen, a man of high ideals has passed, and he will be greatly missed, not only by his friends, but by this entire community. Several of our members were out all night on Tuesday of last week, coming home In the early morning hours. They all said they were detained by reason of serving on the various election boards. You can always count on a T. P. A. boy to think up some good excuse, suitable to all occasions. How about that new member? What a fine Christmas present it would make from father to son, a paid up policy for a year in the T. P. A. D
