AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY LEADERS READY " FOR CAMPAIGN TO DOUBLE MEMBERSHIP ROLL

INDIANAPOLIS, Nov. 8. With the J arrival at national headquarters in Indianapolis of Dr. Kate Waller Barrett, newly elected president of the American Legion Auxiliary, leaders of that organization have embarked upon a program expected to double the membership during the coming year. Dr. Barrett was one of five women sent from the United States to the signing of the Treaty of Versailles and also represented this country at the international conference of women at Geneva held to work for world peace. While she was in Europe, Dr. Barrett developed the idea of ag international organization of women relatives of ex-service men to advance world peace. The, outgrowth of this conception is a proposal to form an auxiliary to the Interallied Veterans' Association which was received enthusiastically by Association delegates at their recent meeting in New Orleans. The international auxiliary is expected to be formed at the same time as the next Legion and Auxiliary convention. Held Important Posts. Dr. Barrett lives in Alexandria, Va.. and has served as president of the Auxiliary in that state. Her ancestors came to Virginia with Captain

John Smith. The original laid grant

to me waller family was given in 1664 by Charles II, in token of the devotion of the family to the crown during the days of Cromwell. Dr. Barrett i; serving her fourth term as State Regent of the Daughters of the American Revolution and was president of the first club organized in Virginia whose mem

bers were the wives and mothers of

soldiers. This club-later became the Auxiliary unit of the Alexandria Legion post. Dr. Barrett early became interested in philanthropic work and has held many important positions. She was vice-president and general superintendent of the National Florence

Coffee 10 Minutes Oats 3 to 5 minutes now Now there's an Instant Quaker Oats the quickest-cooking oats in the world. It cooks in 3 to 5 minutes, and cooks to perfection. Yoor grocer has both Instant and regular. So you can, if you wish, have the oat dish ready before the eggs or coffee. Quickness, plus super-flavor Quaker Oats won their world-wide fame through flavor. They dominate all the earth over,v because people love that flavor. They are flaked from qneen gTains only just the rich, plump, flavory oats. We get but ten pounds of these luscious flakes from a bushel of choice oats. Instant Quaker is flaked from the same queen grains. But the oats are cut before flaking. They are rolled very thin and partly cooked. So the flakes are smaller and thinner that is all. And those small, thin flakes cook quickly.

Now, if you want that exquisite flavor, you, must get Quaker Oats. If you' want five-minute cooking you must get Quaker Oats. Get either style you like best. But, for one or both of those reasons, get Quaker. You want the utmost in this food of foods the greatest food that grows.
