nently waved hair is so great that considered in with its initial expense, she cannot afford to repeat her first experiment It Is possible to give yourself a water wave at home, though it is not particularly easy, and you may not succeed as well as a professional. If you happen to be one of those fortunate beings who possess a drying machine at home it is much easier, although sitting in front of a hot stove or fire or outdoors in the hot sun will do very well. Shampoo your hair as usual, taking the usual care to rinse out all soap. Roll the towel around the head and wring out the hair in It Do not dry further with the towel but part it as you do when you dress it or comb it back from the face. Next take a comb and form the hair Into waves. This is difficult until vou are usp1 tn it UnW the waves in place by pinning them with invisible hairpins, or b!3d the head round and round with a narrow ribbon, pulling the hair lose between the bindings with the comb. Put in side combs so the weight of the hair will not pull the waves out of place. Pin a hair nef over the head and keep it on while the hair dries. When it Is dry the waves will be very solidly in place and should last for a long time if the hair has been permanently waved, until the next shampooing. Eighteen. If your skin becomes lifeless toward the end of the day it is because you are tired. Many nervous temperaments affect one thus, and a warm bath and a few moments of complete relaxation will bring the color back to the face. If this is not possible, merely bathe the face, throat and hands with hot water, followed by a cooler and finally very cold water. Then make a change of stockings and shoes, taking an extra minute to rub Ihe soles of the feet to Improve the circulation in them. The mark left from burning off the wart may bleach. "Lack of iron in the blood not only makes a man a physical dud mental weakling, nervous, irritable, easily fatigued, bpt it utterly robs him of of that virile force, that itamina and trenpth of will which are so necessary to success and power In every walk of life," says Dr. James Francis Sullivan, formerly physician of Bellevue Hospital (Outdoor Dept.), New" York, and the Westchester County Hospital. "It may ' also transform abeautiful. sweet tempered woman into one who i cross, nervous and irrit- . able. I have strongly emphasised the great necessity of physicians making blood examinations of their weak, anaemic, run-down patients. Thousands of persons go on year after year suffering from physical weakness and a highly nervous condition due to lack of suffi cient iron in their red blood corpuscles with out ever realizing the real cause of the ir trouble, Without iron in your blood your food merely passes through the body some tiling like corn through an old mill with rollers so wide apart that the mill can't grind. But be sure the iron yon take Is the newer form of iron and not metallic iron which people usually take. This newer form of iron is like the iron in your blood and like the iron In spinach, lentils and apples, while metallic iron is iron just as it comes from the action of strong acids on small pieces of iron filings and ia therefore an entirely different thing from Nuzated Iron. This newer form of iron isso highly concentrated that one dose is estimated to be approximately equivalent to eating one-half quart of spinach, one quart of green vegetable or half adoten baked apples. Itislike takingeztractsof beef instead of eating pounds of meat. Over 4,000,000 people annually are using this newer form of iron known aa Nuzated Iron.
