WEBSTER BOYS' CLUB WILL GO TO PURDUE; HEAR SOIL LECTURE WEBSTER, Ind., Sept. 22. An explanation of the methods of testing soils for acidity, given by County Agent, J. L. Dolan, and a report of the receipts of the boys corn club from their stand at the fair, from which it will be possible for the members to attend the Purdue Club Round-Up in a body, were the principal matters of business considered by the Webster township farmers association in a meeting at the school house' Thursday night. Total receipts of nearly $2S0 from which expense deductions leave a balance of $89, were reported by Carl Demaree, president, of the corn club. Ap

the farmers association for sending one member to Purdue, and the additional funds will enable all to go. The corn club president expressed the thanks of the boys for the encouragement and aid that had been given them by members of the community. A demonstration of the use of various chemical tests in determining the acidity of the soil, with actual tests of sweet and sour soils, was made by the agricultural agent. Announcement was made of demonstrations of the use of limestone on some farms in the county.
