Albert Horr announces th marrias'e of his ' daughter, Ruth Elizabeth, to Gordon Alfred Borton, son of Mrs. B. A. Martin. The -wedding took place Thursday morning .at the new home of the bride and groom in the presence of members of the Immediate families. The bride wore a lovely gown of blue and grey crepe satin embroidered in blue. Following the ceremony Mr. i and Mrs. Borton left on a short wedding trip, the bride travelling in a suit of blue tricotine with accessories to correspond. They will be at home upon their return at 605 South C street. Mrs. Frank H. Glass entertained informally with four tables of bridge Thursday afternoon at her home, 2203 East Main street, in honor of Mrs. Lulu Sims and Mrs. C. Elmer Sloane, of Indianapolis, and Mrs. J. L. Gilchrist, of Hollywood, Calif. Profusions of late summer garden flowers were used in artistic arrangements for decorations through the residence. Announcement has been made by Mr. and Mrs. Mark W. Pennell of the marriage of their daughter, Mis3 Nina Coquese Pennell, to Rees M. Ryan. The wedding was quietly solemnized at noon Tuesday at the Pennell residence on South Nineteenth -street in the presence of members of the Tamily. Dr. J. J. Rae, pastor of the First Presbyterian church officiated, the single ring service being used. Mr. and Mrs. Ryan left later on a wedding trip, the bride travelling In a gown of navy tricotine with corresponding accessories. They will be at home for the present at 28 South Nmteenth street. Miss Edith Evans, of Indianapolis, Is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin N. Johnson, of South Sixteenth street.

Two baby elephants in a semi-wild state, which have roamed Wabash and Miami coun ties for ten days since escape from the-r John Robinson circus winter quarters, were captured Tuesday evening on the Mark Houlihan farm west of here. Last week, when the animals refused to leave the Chicago and Erie railroad tracks, a passenger train was delayed.
