SHERIFF OF PREBLE GOES AFTER ALLEGED BOGUS STOGX SELLER

EATON, Ohio. SeDt 13. Decuty

Brierley, said to he the father of R. E Brierley. is wanted in this county on the same charge, but his whereabouts are unknown, it is said. The Brierleys are alleged to have sold stock in the Ohio Trenton Development company, represented as an oil drilling concern, in and around "West Alexandria and Ingomar, and that the stock issuance had not been authorized by the state commissioner of securities. It is said at. least. $5,200 was obtained by the Brierleys. It is said ths development x)mpany -was not incorporated and that its operations constituted flagrant violations of the state blue sky Jaw. However, no engine or drill were ever installed: Similar stock operalions were started in the vicinity of Middletown, it is said. The Brierleys are said to then have dropped out of sight, leaving a number of unpaid accounts in Preble county, including board bills. The affidavit against the Brierleys was filed by L. C. Mendenhall in the court of Squire L. T. Stephen, in Eaton, on Aug. 30. County Prosecutor R. G. Sever went to Louisville last Friday with requisition papers for the extradition of RH.
