Advised that the prisoner would fight extradition, Prosecutor Sever ; went to Columbus and obtained reQuisition papers and then proceeded to Louisville, only to find upon arrival 1. there that the prisoner had been successful in obtaining his release. GOTHAM POLICE STATION EQUIPPED WITH RADIO NEW YORK, Sept. IJ. The first i broadcasting station to be used exclusively for police purposes has been installed at police headquarters here. Police boats and inspection- district offices will be outfitted with radio equipment, and with the adoption of radio by other large cities the authorities hope to be able to send out an almost instantaneous police alarm over an area of 30,000 square miles.
