- -' To Investors of Wayne County
You are given an opportunity of -putting'your savings in one of the best propositions ever offered to people of Indiana. Our factory was started in the year of 1872, and we are now celebrating our 50th year in the Music Industry in this town. Commencing in a small way we are proud to say we are now the largest manfacturers in Richmond. We also are established in thirty cities of the United States distributing our own products. Now our Directors wish to expand the business and in order to do so we are issuing to the public $500,000 of Preferred stock bearing 7 interest free of all taxes, which will bring increased prosperity arid also add considerable wealth to the community. For full particulars call or write, or phone 1646.
Many of these sales divisions have one or more branches. It controls through stock ownership and contract The Starr Co. of Canada, Ltd., of London, Ont., and through contract The Starr Co. (Pacific Division) of Los Angeles, Calif. The Company also controls The Gennett Corporation, through -which leasehold and real estate interests are handled in connection with its sales distribution. Prior to 1915 the entire business of the Company was confined to the manufacturing of pianos upright, player and grand. In that year the Company expanded into the phonograph field, manufacturing Starr phonographs and. Gennett records. The rapidity of growth of these departments, in addition to the natural growth of the piano business, is the occasion requiring capital extension. The immediate application of funds derived from the sale of this stock will be the doubling of pressing capacity in the Gennett Record Department (installation scheduled to start Sept. 15th, presses now in transit) and the retirement of certain remaining loans incurred in building and remodeling. . " . . The Company manufactures and sells under the following trade-marks: "Starr" The Starr Piano Co. "Remington The Reminetoh Piano Co.
