Wayne County, Indiana, with the Union Pike, also an improved free gravel road in said township; thence north on and along said Union Pike to Its intersection with the Hagerstown Pike, also an improved free srravel road in said township; all in Wayne Township, Wayne County, Indiana, and said highway being in total length One and One-tenth (1.1) Miles. Said petitioners respectfully shcrw that said public highway has already been established, and they now petition and pray that said highway be improved by grading, draining and widening the same where necessary, and paving as hereinafter recommendedWIDTH We recommend the width of said highway to be as now established, except where it shall be necessary to widen the same for drainage or con struction purposes. CHARACTER OF IMPROVEMENT We recommend that the highway be paved with cement concrete, the same to be not less than eighteen (18) feet nor more than twenty-four (24) feet width, as may be determined by the viewers and County Commissioners at the time said viewers' report is made and accepted, and on either side of said strip of concrete pavement there shall be & berm of gravel five feet (5) feet in width. We recommend that such highway be straightened, and that such changes be made in the grading of said highway and in the drainage, culverts and bridges on the same as in the discretion of the viewers and said Board of County Commissioners msv be necessary and of public utility. OVERHEAD RAILROAD CROSSING As there is now 'situated on said hierhwav an overhead crossing over the (tracks of the Richmond Division of the P. C. C. and St. L. Railway Comparfy, which, as now constructed, is dangerous to public travel on such highway, we recommend that said overhead crossing be removed and the same re placed by an overhead crossing whicn will be adequate and safe to accommodate the travel on such highway, and as is found to be of public utility by the viewers and said Board of County Commissioners.
