BEGIN DISMANTLING o EATON IRON BRIDGE; TRAFFIC IS DETOURED

EATON. Ohio, Aug. 2. Work of dismantling the Main street Iron

' bridge, which will be replaced by a concrete structure, is under way. The state -will give financial aid in construction of the improvement. Traffic is being detoured for a few days. Detour signs have been placed by the state highway department. The Iayton & Western traction bridge, alongside the road bridge, will be moved a few feet south, of its present location, and will be so arranged as to accommodate vehicle and foot traffic in addition to the company's tracks, while the new bridge is being built The traction bridge will be moved Saturday night, it is thought. Ioads will be limited to one and onehalf tons on the bridge when it is opened for traffic. As a means of fire protection for that part of town west of the bridge, a fire department hose reel has been housed on the west eide. Democratic Women Meeting.

ery and Butler counties will meet in convention in Eaton in the opera house on the afternoon of Thursday, Aug. 10,

according to announcement just made. I Two o'clock is announced as the hour for opening of the meeting. ! Preparation of a program for the , meeting is under way and will be an'nounced as soon as completed. It will include an address by a prominent speaker. Of 137 delegates in the convention, Preble county will have 12, one from each township. The list of local county delegates has not been completed. Attendance at the convention will not be restricted to delegates alone, it announced, so Democratic women of Preble county and the district are invited to be present. Furnishes $500 Bond. Charles It. By action of the Preble county board of education, the services of Mis3 Ella Jennings as stenographer to County School Superintendent W. S. Fogarty have been dispensed with, beginning Aug. 1. next school year. L. F. Schiesser some time ago advised the board he
