' (Markets by E. F. Leiacd & Company, 212 Union National Bank Building) CHICAGO, Jan. 7. Wheat Wheat was strong practically all day, local isfcorts covering and lack of pressure being mainly responsible for the present strength. Commission houses sold on the bulge but buying orders appeared on the break. There was little news to warrant any material buying, although further complaints of dry weather were received from parts of the northwest, with a frost report in some parts of Canadian northwest. The government weekly weather report was constructed as rather bearish, although it meant lack of moisture. Dry weather favors hartestinz in the southwest and the cron
o v-ni41., .,.,,.. i. n . n n Country offerings of new wheat to rive increased on the bulge. Liver pool firmed up after the opening. Buenos Ayres also was higher. Corn Corn had a rather firm tone all day with the close near the top. Cash market a little higher. There was some export business done and sales of 300,000 to go to store. Advices from Iowa and Illinois predicted a small run of corn. Oats Oats started a little lower but firmed up with wheat. Cash, markets steady and unchanged. Dry weather talk from parts of Iowa had little effect on the market. RANGE OF FUTURES (Markets by E. F. Leland & Company, 212 Union National Bank Building) CHICAGO, June 7.
