TOWNSHIPS AGREE TO WORK TOGETHER IN STOCK SHIPPING CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind., June 3. Arrangements for co-operation of Jackson township with Harrison and Washington townships in co-operative shipment of livestock were agreed upon at a meeting of Jackson township farmers Friday night. The meeting was attended by a large delegation of Harrison townsnip farm bureau members. Lindley Baker was appointed as livestock shipping director for Jackson township to act with Louis Kleiber of Washington and a third director to be appointed by Harrison township, in drawing up a constitution and by-laws for the association. A called meeting for ratification and for settlement of the more important points regarding the handling of the stock will be held later. ' It was the decision of the meeting that one shipping point, centrally located with reference to all three townships, should be used at the beginning, allowing expansion if it should become necessary. FOUR HUGE ENGINES NEEDED TO CONVEY SPECIAL OUT OF CITY With two of the Pennsy's biggest engines on ahead, and two more behind pushing, the Prosperity Special of 20 Southern Pacific locomotives left Richmond Saturday morning for Indianapolis, their next stop on their cross country trip from the Baldwin Locomotive works to California. i The locomotives which are to be

Travel Slowly. Because of the extreme weight of Ihe train a speed of about 20 miles an hour is maintained. A greater speed woud be too much for the track to stand. j me engines represented tne last ''word in locomotive construction. The I first engines outside of the New York Central lines to be equipped with Boosters, auxiliary engines attached to the rear trailers, that feature of their equipment attracted a great deal of attention from local engineers. The locomotives were backed down from Fort Wayne, as it was practically impossible to use a turn table to get them turned about so that they could face forward. From Richmond west they will be run forward. Two additional locomotives were added to the group that brought the train into the yards at Richmond, so that when it passed the station the train was being pulled by five locomotives and shoved by one. A crowd of approximately 500 Tiersons, grouped in the Pennsylvania station watched the Prosperity Special continue its westward journey Satur day morning. The train left promptly at $ o'clock. the weakness of the American market! is due to recent large shipments of Colombian coffee, the circumstances remain that London prices are much higher than American and that practically all of the remaining Costa Rica coffee is being diverted to London. "The closing of several of the fareastern ports also handicap the American market and when the full pre-war competition for Central American coffees including most of the European countries begins to be felt it will require all the efforts of American coffee importers to retain the Central American trade and they will have to be content with cheaper markets."
