MEXICAN SECRETARY OF AVAR HURRIES TO SCENE OF TROUBLE
Circuit Court
MEXICO CITY. May 19. Secretary of War Serrano, who hastily left the
capitol upon receipt of reports af the
sacking of Frontera, state of Tabasco, j
by 300 repels under Jose Segovia, boarded the gunboat Zaragosa at Vera Cruz and Is on his way to the scene of the trouble. A war office statement says Segovia's forces were surprised and defeated this morning at Las Palmas, "while celebrating their victory, and that several of the rebels were killed and others captured. The statement
also denies the rumored defection of Gen. Luis Mireles, commanding the federal troops in the state of Tabasco, declaring the government has absolute confidence in him. War Council Called It is understood that Secretary Serrano has called a war council of all the heads of departments in the Isthmian territory of Tabasco and Chiapas and if necessary will remain at Villa
Hermosa until the campaign is well underway against Gen. Carlos Greene, commander of the rebels. The uprisings in Tabasco, although frequent of late, have never been taken seriously here as the state is not so strategically located that such movements can menace Mexico City and the north. Ever since his forced resignation as x governor almost a year ago, General Greene has been reported engaged in revolutionary activities, and for months was kept under surveillance in Mexico City, although not under actual arrest. ' Two months ago he disappeared from the capital and since that time the situation in Tabasco has been delicate. Greene was included in President Obregon's recent order that no leniency be shown to leaders of rebellious movements.

DOBBINS' HOSE WAGON TO BE ORDERED SOLD
The last piece of horsedrawn fire apparatus owned by the city will disappear within a few days, as a result of action taken by the city council Monday night. The old "Number One" hose wagon purchased in 1887, used till 1916 and since that time stored in various fire houses of the city, is to
be ordered sold. Authority for the sale was given the board of works in a resolution passed by council Monday night at the request of Fire Chief Miller.
Although the wagon was in usej
trom me ume it came nere, m is, until 1916, a period of 29 years, some of the original paint is still on the vehicle. The body and wheels have been dismounted and stored in the top :f No. Five fire house. When the city started motorizing the fire department, over 12 years ago, a number of bodies used on horsedrawn wagons were sent in to the factory and mounted on a motor chassis. Bodies of apparatus used at fire houses ..Three, Four and Five come under this classification. When they were first put into use, about the year 1890, the steam fire engine was at the height of its glory. Jerry Miller, an "old-timer" at No. Four house, in the south part of the city says "these old engines did not make much noise on the way to a fire
put after tney were neated up, you
could hear them for a mile."

If you want to keep your child's hair in good condition, be careful what you wash It with. Most soaps and prepared shampoos contain too much alkali. This dries the scalp, makes the hair brittle, and is very harmful. Mulsified cocoanut oil shampoo (which is pure and entirely greaseless), is much better than anything else you can use for shampooing, as this can't possibly injure the hair. Simply put two or three teaspoonfuls of Mulsified in a cup or glass with a little warm water, then moisten the hair with water and rub it in. It will make an abundance of rich, creamy lather, and cleanse the hair and scalp thoroughly. The lather rinses out
easily, and removes every particle of i
dust, dirt, dandruff and excess oil. The hair dries quickly and evenly, and it leaves it fine and silky, bright, fluffy and easy to manage. You can get Mulsified cocoanut oil shampoo at any drug store.. It is very cheap, and a few ounces is enough to last everyone in the family for months. Be sure your druggist gives you Mulsified.
