MURRAY Ladies maids with French accents
always are alluring, and Vivian Martin in "Pardon My French," the latest Messmore Kendall production, star
ing her and released by Goldwyn, at
the Murray theatre, plays such a part to perfection. In the role of an actress who, after an unfortunate ending -to her road career, accepts the position of maid to a nouvea rich family by the name of Hawker, she sparkles Drilliantly.
Polly was hired to watch the eti
quette of the newly-rich family. This
she did with some success until zeke,
the heir apparent of the Hawker
wealth, made love to her, and against
her wishes. Fortunately, Polly had
met her Lothario, who lived over the
wall which guarded the Hawkers
from common people. And, in tha end, after many funny situations, she decides to become his leading lady for life. There is much originality and excellent acting in this comedy, which will be seen at the Murray theatre.
