RIVALRY DEVELOPING FOR PREDOMINANCE IN DANUBE SHIPPING By Associated Prsa.) PRAGUE, April 27. Keen rivalry for predominance in the Danube shipping 13 developing among the three-land-locked fragments of the dismembered Hapsburg empire Austria, Czechoslovakia and . Hungary. . The Danube river is their sea, and port facilities mean traffic and national income. Hence one form of their competition if to build up their respective ports Vienna, Pressburg (now called Bratislava) and Budapest, situated close to each other on a bend of the river. With the prospect of a connecting canal system between the Danube and ihe Rhine through Bavarian enterprise
the Danube is coming to be regarded;
here as the greatest artery of trade in Europe of tomorrow and the British were aware of this when they founded their river syndicate.- . - The first struggle between the three ports waa to get the Allies' Danube oommission. Bratislava won, but thj term was fixed for five years and the commission will next go where the biggest traffic is. This is spurring the Czechs to increase the traffic capacity or Bratislava to 1,000.000 tons this year and ultimate plans call for a rapacity for 3,000,000 tons." The struggle for trade thus far is mostly between Bratislava and Budaiest with Vienna lagging. Hungary las granted a contract to a French
firm to construct a first-class port atj
Duuapest hiiu uie vxecua are inri-inr-ing to answer this by equipping Bratislava at a cost to the government of 22S.000.000 Czech crowns. Czechoslovakia also proposes to' build a subsidiary port at Komarno. This work is to be completed in three years.
A private company has been organ-j ized to take over the shipping under
the Czech flag on the Danube and Czechoslovakia means to keep the Danube commission at Bratislava.

The secret of keeping young is to feel young to do this you must watch your liver and bowels there's no need of having a sallow complexion dark rings under your eyes pimples a bilious look in your face ndulLeyes with no sparkle. Your doctor will tell you ninety per cent of all sickness comes
I from inactive bowels and liver.
Dr. Edwards, a well-known physician in Ohio, perfected a vegetable compound mixed with olive oil to act
on the liver and bowels, which he gave to his patients for years. Dr. Edwards Olive Tablets, the substitute for calomel, are gentle in their action yet always effective. They bring about that natural buoyancy which all should enjoy by toning up the liver and clearing the system of impurities. Dr. Edwards' Olive Tablets are known by their olive color. 15c and 30c.
