. GRAIN PRICES (Markets by E. F. Leland & Company. 212 Union Bank Building.) CHICAGO, April 18. Wheat was erratic again today and fluctuated rapidly within a range of 2 to 4Vi cents, with May leading in activity. Liverpool closed higher than Saturday' c'ose. There was free buying, commission houses sending May up to $1.44. On ths bulge long grain came out freely, the reaction being helped by the weakness in the stock market. Market was extremely sensitive and! became overbought or oversold. Some heat bought to come here from Missouri river points. Milling demand slov in all markets, with premiums 2 to 3 cents lower at Minneapolis. Winnipeg was off 1 cent. Crop reports from western Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas panhandle unfavorable, but conditions elsewhere continue pretty good. Corn Cora was firm with wheat, but declined in sympathy and closed at low of the day. Weathermore favorable. Cash demand limited. May corn is now selling practically a carrying charge difference under July. Oats Trade mixed, but undertone heavy all day and prices averaged lower than yesterday. There continued exchanging in May or buying May and selling July at a difference of 2 cents. Cash markets steady and about unchanged. Tone was decidedly weak at the close.
