Mary Landon Balcer (with little Chicago friends) is on her way to London for her wedding with Allister McCormick, twice put off almost at the altar. '
Much activity was displayed at Hoboken aboard the Leviathan in the final rush to get her ready to start under Capt. Fish for Newport News for reconditioning. The great ship, whose transport of American troops to France made her name historic, is to be put in the passenger service by the shipping board.

In return for a hand-woven purse she made for the Queen of Italy, to whom it was presented by Miss Winifred Holt, founder and secretary of the New York Association for the Blind, Agnes Stafford (left), a blind worker, has received a diamond bracelet from the Queen. It was presented to her by T. F. Bernardi, Italian consul general here, in the presence of Mrs. Ellen L. Harrison, in charge of the industrial work of the association.
