POSSESSES EASTER EGG BOILED 52 YEARS AGO CONNERSVILLE. Ind., April 13. Frank Zimmerman of this city believes he is the owner of the oldest egg In Indiana. It was hard-boiled and colored green by Mr. Zimmerman's
mother on Easter Sunday, April 18, 1870. At that time the Zimmerman family was living at Myerstown, Pa., and Mr. Zimmerman was 13 years old. The egg remained in the mother's household for many years and after her death, Mr. Zimmerman, who had
removed to Connersville, requested a brother to forward the egg here. He treasures it highly and keeps it inside a sealed glass jar to protect it from heat and moisture, but in spite of the care it has received it is slowly dwindling away and at present is 4ess than
half the size it was fifty-two years ago.
The shell bears Mr. Zimmerman's initials and the date of the boiling and coloring. "
Cuba has 1,000,000 tons or surplus sugar this year.
