I w ui.ni. MUUIILUO FRIDAY AFTERNOON Tbe address of Miss Eleanor Barker, of Indianapolis, who ia to speak In Richmond Friday In behalt of Senator New, should be of special interest, Richmond women say, because she is one of the comparatively few women in Indiana who is making political addresses in the present campaign. "There is much of interest to women generally in this campaign," 6aid a Richmond member of the committee in charge of Miss Barker's meeting, "and while Miss Barker is friendly to the candidacy of United States Senator New, she first of all is interested in the part that women of Indiana shall take in political movements of every kind, i Therefore, Miss Barker should be welcomed by women generally at her meeting Friday afternoon, regardless of their affiliations in this campaign. The meeting will be held at 3 o'clock prompt in the assembly hall on the third floor of the K. of P. temple and the building is provided with elevator service which should be of special convenience to those attending." Planning Meeting The executive committee in charge of the general campaign in Wayne county in behalf of Senator New is trying to arrange for a meeting to be held in Richmond within the next two weeks which will be addressed by Charles W. Bookwalter, former mayor of Indianapolis, and one or two others. Plans, however, have not been completed. Attorney Ray K. Shiveley, a mem ber of t ho executive committee, said that Senator New has been prevented from making any campaign in his own behalf because of his inability to leave Washington during the last two months, excppting for a day or two at a time. Mr. Shiveley said that it was probable that a number of meet ings in various -townships would be held during April, with the object in view of showing the service that has been rendered Indiana by Senator New during his term of six years. The gay old rounders are coming into their own again for the first time since the war sent the 'andsome young 'uns to the front . The flappers are flapping more than ever, but the "boys" they're flapping with are, for the most part, old enough to be their daddies. - And the reason? It's the old hicosta wooing. Amuse ments are entirely too expensive for the young bloods just starting in business. Showing & flapper a good time for one evening often amounts to a week's wages. Hence the rushing must now be! left to the gray-haired captains of fiand are willing to let some flapper help them spend it. Therefore silver hair among the gold is becoming more plentiful wherever the flaps gather to while away an evening. Theatre tickets have jumped from $1.50 to J3.30 and $5.50 and the girls now insist upon the best. Food prices in many of the aftertheatre restaurants are prohibitive and managers frankly admit that they do not cater to diners. And so the gray haired "boys," fling-j They stimulate tion and enable
