DUBLIN, March 27. The convention of Irish Republican army members, which had been forbidden by the dail eireann cabinet, ended its lengthy session late last night without exciting any outward demonstration or ruffled the usual Sunday life of the city. The provisional free state government made no attempt to interfere with the proceedings and has not definitely stated it will take any action, although it is generally supposed that
those who attended will be treated as having separated themselves from the rest of the army, and their names may possibly be stricken from the army rolls. Strong Condemnation The action of the convention in unanimously adopting a resolution reaffirming the delegates' allegiance to the Irish republic met with strong condemnation among the supporters of the free state. The Irish Independent today said: "Many times in the past have our
people become divided in a crisis when

ness the same unedifying, deplorable
spectacle. Disunion has been forced on the country. Tbe resolution passed by the sectional convention amounts, in effect, to repudiation of the Dail ISireann, yet. Eamon de Valera insists that the Dail is the supreme authority in Ireland. - ' "In all democratically governed countries, "including republics like Fiance and America, the army is strictly subject to the control of civil authority, or the government for the time being. ( Whatever departures from that constitutional system have taken place, grave events, sometimes amounting to establishment of a military dictatorship, have followed."

(By Associated Press) ! LAWRENCE, Mass., March 27. The New England Textile strike "was extended today to this city, an old battle ground for -mill disputes," with curtailment of production in several . plants but no disorders. Several thousand operatives refused to go to work in protest against a 20 per cent wage cut.
' The Pacific mills were the most seriously ; affected of the seven plants which opened under reduced pay schedules. In the lower Pacific mills the electricians and machinists were among, those .who stayed out and many who appeared 'at the plant as usual were unable to work because of
lack of power. They left the factory j o'clock, soon afterwards. I
Police estimated that about one half of the employes at the upper Pacific mills went to werk, but there also
many left the plant. At the Pacific j
print mills a lew went to worn Dut
most of those left later in the day. The Pacific mills employ normally about 10,000 operatives. Workers Soon Leave At other mills where cuts were effective today many workers appeared at the regular hours, but soon began to leave. These plants are the Everett, Arcadia, Monomac, Pemberton, Katama and Methuen. These mills employ approximately 3,000 operatives. The Arlington mills carried out their intention to close. The large plant of the American Woolen company did not announce wage cuts and was not affected.
Almost from dawn the streets were thronged with idle mill workers who walked aimlessly about. Picketing was unorganized. We can grow hair on your bald head with BARE-TO-HAIR Treatments in our shop or for sale in bottles. Harter's Barber Shop In the Murray Bldg.
