I - SAYS IMPERSONATION OF LINCOLN EXCELLENT Impersonations of Abraham Lincoln given by Max J. Young, ot Indianapo- . lis, Monday night at the Initiation held by the local post of Sons of Veterans, were excellent, II. II. Hoover, local Civil war veteran, said Wednesday,

d Mr. Hoover is One Of the last SUrviV-1 "'...... , . !

ors 01 tne soiaiers wno were on guara in Forbe's theatre on the night Abraham Lincoln was shot, "Speaking as a soldier who spent some 15 months as guard at the White House during Lincoln's presidency, seeing Lincoln two or three times weekly, I want to say that Mr. Young's impersonations of Lincoln brought back to my memory those bygone days. I wish to say that he presented a good life-like picture of Lincoln. I wish that all lovers of the immortal Lincoln could see the Impersonation as presented by Mr. Young." Conduct Harlan Funeral Services at Union City UNION CITY, Ind.. March 15. Funeral services for Rev. N. A. Har lan, who died Saturday night at his home here, were held Tuesday after noon at 2:30 o'clock from the home. Burial was In Union City cemeteryRev. Harlan had been a minister in several churches in different cities, among them being, Logansport, Portland, Williamsburg and Union City. He was pastor of the Portland church when it was being rebuilt. CHICAGO FIRE (Continued from rage One.) the 11 story Austin building enveloped n flames. A"4-ll" alarm immediately was sent out and in rapid order eight additional calls for special apparatus were rung, bringing virtually every piece of fire fighting apparatus in Chicago to the scene. Only widely scattered fire companies were left in the suburbs. Spreads Rapidly "The rapidity with which the fire spread was astounding," Marshall Buckley, assistant fire chief said. "The fire actually seemed to run from us, and it was almost impossible to get it under control After the fire leaped over Van Buren street south the wind seemed to die down, and only the velocity of the fire itself appeared to carry it along. The firemen said they believed they could soon bring it under entire control. Before the fire leaped over Jackson Boulevard and attacked the Burlington building the windows In the Mercantile Trust and Savings bank in the first floor of the building had been cracked by the heat. A special guard of a score of policemen were assigned, but the flames soon drove them away, and swept through the banking rooms. According to the latest statement of the bank there was apparently $1,500,000 In cash and bonds and $4,000,000 in commercial paper in the company's vaults. These vaults are believed to have withstood the Are, but it may be several days before the contents can be examined. Many ruined cities of prehistoric civilizations, which once flourished in Central Amerca and Mexico, are to be preserved as reservations and nation- , al parks.

TWO PLUS TWO USED TO EQUAL FOUR And on that basis people figured that two dollars were more than one and that four opportunities were more promising than two. Even today there doesn't seem to be any reason why that argument isn't still true Especially when you can find so many opportunities to save bo many dollars in the Palladium's Classified Section. When you look over a number of good propositions about some particular thing you want, you can feel surer that you are getting your money's worth than .when you take the first offer that comes along. And when you find a chance to get exactly what you want for less money than you could get it somewhere else, you know that you are saving money and gaining satisfaction. You can do both these things if you watch the Classified Section every day.
