Upon her answer and cross-petition, Lillie Nixon was granted a divorce from George Nixon, traction motorman, West Alexandria, Tuesday in common pleas court, and awarded custody ot their child, Goldie, 17 years old. Judge A. C. Risinger granted. the decree.. Judge Risinger declared Nixon's allegations of cruelty and neglect were
not sustained and his petition was dismissed and a decree granted the wife, upon grounds of cruelty. They had been married about 20 years. Nixon was ordered by the court to pay $10 a week alimony . until their daughter reaches the age of 18. He also is, to pay his wife's attorney $75 and his own attorney a balance. of $30. Testimony was given by several witnesses. : " Chamber to Banquet Membership of the chamber of commerce will banquet Monday night in Pythian temple, followed by a business session. It is expected a number of women will be present at the dinner. Entertainment features of the affair will include a wireless telephone concert. FIFTY-DOLLAR BILLS CLUES IN SEARCH
(By Associated Press) PHILADELPHIA, March 8. Fifty dollar bills used in his flight from this city having furnished the principal clues in the , nation-wide search for Walter A. Unger, wanted In connection with the disappearance of securities worth approximately $190,000 from the Dr. Thomas W. Evans dental institute and museum fund of the University of Pennsylvania. Most of the money is believed by the authorities to have been lost in stock speculation.
Private detectives working on the
assistant treasurer of the fund, had drawn $12,000 belonging to the dental institute the day he disappeared and that be had gotten the cashier of the bank to give him the entire amount in bills of the fifty dollar denomination. Most of them were new bills, which the detectives said had aided them materially In their hunt.
