WITHDRAW 2 SUITS AGAINST CAMPBELL RETIRED FARMER

EATON, Ohio, March 6. Two suits filed some time ago against J. W. Campbell, wealthy retired farmer, Eaton, In -which rather sensational charges were made, were withdrawn Saturday from common pleas court by the plaintiffs, James M. Bishop and Joseph M. Doty, farmers. In both suits Campbell was charged with obtaining money from the plainrfs by "falsely and fraudulently and with Intent to deceive." represent that Isirttm E. Bishop had forged his J Campbell's) name to a note for '2..?C'j. Bishop is a son of James M. IiIuWd and a son-in-law of Doty. Doty averred Campbell had obtained from him a note for $600 and Bishop claimed a note for $700 was obtained

from him and that he had paid, by check, $150 on the note. Court Approves Sale. Common pleas court has approved sale of the Church of the Brethren church property, Richmond pike, near Eaton, to William H. Miller for $550 rash. The property consists of a frame church building and one acre

erty because it had been abandoned as a place of worship. Risinger Reserves Decision. Judge Abel Risinger heard the appealed case of F. O. Boston, Saturday, in common pleas court and reserved decision. Boston was declared guilty of violating the prohibition laws and was fined in a squire's court. after which he took appeal on error to the higher court. Settle Ejectment Action. An ejectment action brought by Charles E. Cooper against Chester Francis was settled and dismissed Saturday from common pleas court. Francis occupied Cooper's farm in Gratis township.

Lady Astor and Mrs. Charles Dana Glbsori. Lady Astor, who was Nancy Langhorne, has sent her contribution to her sister, Mrs. Gibson, who was Irene Langhorne and the original "Gibson girl." Mrs. Gibson today sent out an appeal to women of the south now living in the north, asking for their support of the project. Mrs. Gibson is vice chairman of the New York City branch of the Southern Women's Educational Alliance. Allti ance officials say their organization
