Here is a characteristic group picture of the fellows who have fought together all season, representing Rich
mond high school on the basketball court They look like a happy lot here, and their real attitude Is well expressed.
Their, spirit is expected to push them to the front In this big tourney event.
The team has played 16 games this season and has dropped only three, none of the defeats being by any team In the local district. Having defeated Connersville on its own floor and having taken the number of Hagerstown, the team takes the floor In the tourney with the edge over any other team which competes.

DISTRICT TEAMS TRY
OUT AT COLISEUM
Looks like competition will be keen in the coming games in the tourney. Connersville. Whitewater and Economy took their turns, respectively, Wednesday afternoon with practice sessions at the Coliseum. Although the latter two will not be feared extensively in the dope at the tournament, Connersville Is looked-to, to give each team real battles for honors. Connersville has been accustomed to a much smaller floor than the one
at the Coliseum, and they are endeavoring to become used to playing on the larger floor in preparation for their initial game in the tourney.

Harry Frazee.
Harry Frazee, owner of the Boston
Red Sox, has been called the cham-
wrecker of baseball clubs. His whole
sale peddling of the star members of the Hub team since he assumed con
trol of the club earned him the sob
riquet.
And there is no doubt but what
Frazee has managed his ball club with
but one end in view to , pay off the
mortgages on it.
The sale of Babe Ruth for $125,000
after he had set a record In: hitting home runs, was the first deal to draw
attention to Frazee. The more recent
deal whereby he let his two star pitch
ers and one of the greatest shortstops in the game go to the Yankees.
was another high spot in his career as an auctioneer. Frazee is known nationally as a theatrical man, having had marked success In producing and managing productions on Broadway and on the road. That he realizes the value of publicity has been evident in his handling of the baseball team. His constant clashes with Ban Johnson and Ban's followers have drawn attention to him and the club frequently. He is a good business man and has a pleasant personality.
The Betsy Ross and the Motorcycles
staged a real battle on the Y floor that required three extra periods of play to decide the winner. The game was inclined to be -rather rough, er.
pecially in the final minutes of play.
DALE HARKINS Dale Harklns, diminutive forward of the Richmond high school basketball team, has held down a berth on the team during the past three seasons. He is small, that's true, but his
eye for the basket has gained him a
place on the five for three years. Give him a side shot from a difficult angle and he usually makes It. Harkins Is a dribbler and Is an elusive sort of player who is hard to guard, once he gets started. He started good in the Newcastle game and was good for field goals in the needy
moments. - He is playing his last year. His work Is expected to materially aid his team's chances in the tourney.
MUANUS SLIPS OVER DREAMLAND PUNCH HI
FOURTH ROUND OF GO
Eddie McManus, of Dayton, elipped ' the Kayo to Kid Dalton, of Muneie, in the fourth round of their scheduled 10round bout at the . Eagles hall, Tuesday night. McManus scored nls knockout with a left Jab. that, caught Dalton on the jaw. In the semi-finals Joe Everett, of Springfield, and Young Webb, of Dayton, furnished plenty of action for the fans in their elght-
1 round go with Young Webb having a
shade of the fighting. . . . The first two rounds of the main go were rather tame the men feeling each
! other out. McManus has considerable
trouble hitting his man. as Dalton. naa a peculiar way of holding out- his arm, blocking McManus. McManus soon solved this and in the third
) round got In under Dalton's guard and
landed .blow after blow to the head and body of Dalton, Dalton was given plenty of punishment in this round and went down for the count of nine. -Land Left Jab.
At the sound of the gong McManus
was on his man and rushed him, land
ing a left jab on Dalton's Jaw when Dalton dropped his guard.- The end came so quickly that many of the fans did not see the punch that sent Dalton to the mat for the count. It was just 10 seconds after the sound of the gong that McManus landed. Young Webb and Joe Everett put on a good exhibition of the manly game with Young Webb leading In four of the eight rounds and Everett getting two of the rounds while the others were draws. Webb counted heavy in the last four rounds of the match landing blow after blow to the head and body of Everett. Both men are experienced men in the ring game and showed lots of real
fighting. There was plenty of the give and take atufr throughout the entire bout ' " ' '
In the preliminary Andy Parker, of Dayton, had a ehade over Bob Hammond, of Akron. Ohio, In a good eixround bout.' Parker, an amateur In the game, is a comer and promises to develop into a real scrapper. Ham-, mond put up a good scrap with Park-1 er and landed several telling blows, but Parker was aggressive through-1 out most of the bout.
