By Associated Ptb) : MOSCOW. Feb. IS Enver Pasha, who was Turkish minister of war during the world conflict, and who has here to have been on the best of terms just been arrested by the Soviet authorities in the Caucasus, was believed with Mustapha Kemal Pasha, leader of the Turkish Nationalists in Anatalla.

Reports that he would be sent to Angora to be tried by the Turkish Na

tionalist government for high treason add only another surprising chapter to the amazing career of this Turkish adventurer.

Enver Pasha was sentenced to death j by a Turkish court-martial after the war for plunging Turkey into the great struggle. He escaped and for a long time has been head of a mission stationed in Moscow. Obtained Help " understood here that he had

obtained material help from Russia j tor the Turkish Nationalists headed 1 by Kemal and .that he would remain

gions nearby, where his movements have been .unknown. One of the latest reports was that he was organizing Bolshevist occupation in the Caucasus and that an army wa9 being organized there with the support of the Bolshevik! for the purpose of marching into Anatolia. The Russian Soviet government recently cut off the food supplies, house and plenty of Soviet rubles which it had generously donated to Enver Pasha's mission durr ing the past year.

A public holiday was recently proclaimed on the Dutch island of Marken to celebrate the arrival of a horsedrawn mower and two horses. Horses had hitherto been unknown on the island.

THE SONG OF THE TELEGRAPH i WIRES The humming noise made by a group of telegraph wires is familiar tojtimost everyone, and there la a varied of explanations of the phenomenon. A German scientist recently claimed that he had discovered that the weather could be predicted 24 or 36 houra in

advance by observing the sounds made by these wires. In particular rain, snow and storms can be foretold with considerable certainty. In winter the tones are considerably higher than in the summer since the tension ia increased by the cold.

This young fellow has been a big hit in all the cities this season - and will headline the new bill at the Murray, opening Monday matinee for the first three days.
