CAMDEN'S PROTECTOR, FRIEND LAID TO REST; LARGE FUNERAL HELD CAMDEN. Ohio, Feb. 1. Camden . best protector and friend "Bob" Marshall was laid to rest Tuesday afternoon in the Camden cemetery. Known as a fearless man. and a lover of children, the deputy state same warden, killed late Saturday on the farm of Ernest Line, was given one of the largest funerals ever held in this town. He had been leader of the local boy scout troop, and a teacher in the Presbyterian Sunday Bchool. At noon Tuesday, while the casket rested amid flowers on the front porch of his late home, school children paid last respects over his body. Only one . funeral in recent years called forth the numbers and honors accorded Mr. Marshall. That was when Charles White, for years a storekeeper of Camden, was buried In Camden's cemetery. Masons attended in large numbers, and game wardens from many towns filled an important place In the funeral cortege. Members of the scout troop he had organized and led marched in .'a body. ... Services at Church Services were held from the Presbyterian church at 2 o'clock. The Rev. I. It. Gear, of Bradford, former pastor of the local church, assisted by the Rev. Gordon Lang, present pastor, officiated. Survivors of the deceased are a widow and three sisters. Mrs. Ell Benton, wife of the suspected murderer of Mr. Marshall, has been removed from the county infirmary to the jail. It is said that authorities believe she is implicated in the violation of the liquor law, as the still found at the home following the slaying of Mr. Marshall, was carefully hidden. Sheriff George Jones, of Treble county, said Wednesday no further clues had been found. ESCAPED RANDOLPH PRISONER CAPTURED IN ARKANSAS CITY WINCHESTER. Ind., Feb. 1. There is some thought that the bonus bill can be used as a means of initiating the sales tax, and that the sales tax once adopted, will prove to be so satisfactory that it will be kept indefinitely in lieu of some portion of the present income taxes. The opposition, to the sales tax, however, is very formidable. AH in all, the bonus bill will probably go through, but it will not go through without some forceful and illuminating debate upon its merits. .
