Numerous club and private parties are being given to celebrate the entrance of New Year. They include receptions, dinners, dances, and some clubs are holding open house Sunday and Monday. The annual New Year's eve ball is being given at the Country club Saturday evening and will be preceded by several private dinners. Dancing will commence at 9 o'clock, with music by the Evan J. Smith orchestra. A supper will be served at 11 o'clock. About 200 euests are expected. The reception and ballrooms of the club i have been elaborately decorated in readiness for the affair which is considered one of the most important functions of the club year. A watch party will be given at Red Men's hall Saturday evening by the Hiawatha club at which members of Maumee council will be guests. Trifollum society members are entertaining at the First English Lutheran church with a watch party. Members and friend3 of the church are invited to attend.
