Announcements hav been received here of the marriage or Miss Elisabeth Dickson Eertsch, daughter of Mr., am! Mrs. H. D. Bertsch, of Omaha, Neb., to Norman Eardley Bourne,. on of Mr. and Mrs. CL- Bourne, of this city. The ceremony took place Friday afternoon, Dec. 9, at the home of the bride's parents,, 211 Miami street, in Omaha, the Rev. C. E. Giwits officiating.. Mr. and Mrs. Bourne have por.e east for a short ' 'wedding trip, after which they 'will be at home after January 1, at Kokomo. Mr. Bourna is an electrical engineer associated with jx large construction company at Kokonio. Mrs. Bourne has a large number of friends here, and spent last sunime'visitinpr with relatives here and in Centerville. She Is a niece of Arthur R. Bertsch, of this city, and of Miss Laura M. Bertsch, W. A., C. F. and C. V. Bertsch ,of Centerville. Mrs. Bourne has been teaching in the Omaha schools and is a graduate of Central high and of Doane college, at that place Her father, H. D. Bertsch, was

at one time on the reportorial staff of

the Palladium, and later was editor. Since moving to Omaha he has been identified with a number of publications there.

morial church met with Mrs. uoies on South Thirteenth street Wednesday evening: The next meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. Brandon the first Tuesday in January. The Wittenberg Bible class met on Tuesday evening in the chapel of St. Paul's Lutheran church. Officers were elected as follows by the class: Ed. Deitemeyer, president; Mrs. Ed. Temme, secretary; and Mrs. Minnie Hovelmeyer, treasurer. Following the business meeting the evening was spent socially, and refreshments were served to the 30 persons present. The social committee tor the affair included: Mr. and Mrs. Will Meerhoff, Mr. and Mrs. John Koenigkramer, Mr. and Mrs. Will Beckman, and Mrs. Minnie Hovelmeyer. The next meeting of the class will be held the second Tuesday in JanuaryCalvin Fudge was given a birthday surprise party at his home north-east of Williamsburg, by a number of friends Tnesdav evening. Mrs. Charles Kolp's Assembly club will not meet Friday evening. Their dance has been postponed on account of the basketball game that evening.
