SUM another received a check for back pay on his insurance claim amounting to $2,000.00 and $57.50 per month from date on his insurance. This man Is a permanently and totally disabled man, having been reported during service as "killed in action."

The Preble county chapter of the Red Cross has issued a statement thanking the citizens, high school girls, physicians, and furniture and hardware stores far their part in making the Kiddie Koop and Child Welfare conference at the recent Preble county fair a success. One hundred and seventy-seven child;en were checked in the kiddie Koop daring the week, 99 being checked on Thursday. Sixty-six children were examined by the physicians in charge and 22 persons were given first aid.
