V -- MURRAY Those who like a love story pepped up with a lot of fast action and given a touch of humor here and there will join those hundreds who last night saw Harry Carey at the Murray theatre in "If Only Jim" and express ap proval of the magnetic Universal star with a volley of applause. "If Onlv Jim" was filmed from the appealing novel "Bruvver Jim's Baby," by Phillip V. Mighels. It was directed for the screen by Jacques Jaccard. As the story opens, the hero is seen as Jim Golden, a lazy, shiftless and almost useless member of the mining community of Borealis. Even the scorn of Miss Dot, the pretty postmis tress and the belle of the town, does not stir him out of his lethargy. He seems to be suffering from sleeping sickness with a touch of hookworm on the side, when suddenly his life is altered by a baby boy whom he finds on the desert. MURRETTE. Lon Chaney, usually seen as an emotionally unstable character on the screen, is the most even tempered man imaginable in private life. A test of his even nature was shown J while "Ace of Hearts,"a Gouverneur Morris picture, was being filmed at Goldwyn's, when the hair dresser burned a piece out of his wig, and a blister on his neck besides. The wig was a long one, curling close to the i nortA rt Via nAisli1 and woe marl til' v rIn .if finld to suit. The actor had spent much time and careful handiwork on the wig, and it was all but ruined by the iron. However, he merely smiled forebearingly at the accident, and said not a word in reproval. "Ace of Hearts' shows the deep pathos and sympathy of which Chaney is capable. It will come to the Murrette theatre for two days, commencing Friday. Recent "Everybody at our house is highly pleased with Pepgen since it helped our little granddaughter so much," says F. W. James, of 301 Pennsylvania Street, Buffalo. "The little girl is three and onehalf years old. She has been troubled with constipation. Of course, it is hard to get a child of her age to take medicine and the preparations we eave her didn't do much good. When we heard of Pepgen we got a bottle. To our surprise our little girl really liked to take Pepgen. As a result we were able to give it to her regularly. It has done her a world of good. It is relieving the constipation and is helping her generally. "I took Pepgen myself." Mr. James continued, "for stomach trouble. I also was in need of something that would build up my blood. Pepgen put my stomach in good condition and also enriched my blood. "I am glad to recommend Pepgen to others because I am sure it is a very good medicine." Pepgen is good for children and grown-ups. It tones up the vital organs, improves the appetite, enriches the blood and builds new strength and vigor. Try Pepgen. Pepgen is a new system medicine which is being specially introduced at Quigley's Drug Stores, Richmond; B. A. Carpenter Drug Store, Cambridge City, and other leading drug stores in nearby towns.
