WIRELESS AMATEURS TO GET ACQUAINTED AT MEETING TONIGHT
A laree attendance is indicated for the second meeting of the newly formed club of radio amateurs, which is to be held in the storerooms of the Hart Electric shop at 7:30 Wednesday night. AH amateurs in Richmond, numbering about 40 have been invited, and in addition, the officials of the club have extended invitations to wireless amateurs in all towns as far away as Connersville, Newcastle, Greenvilln and Eaton. Numbers of these have promised to be present, much interest
being manifested in the organization. The club, which was started with about 25 members at a meet ins; a wefk ago at the home of Gerald Harrington, was named the "DX Radio Club." The principal business thiB evening will be the discussion and adaption of a constitution and by-laws on which a committee has been work, Inz since the first meeting. At least two representatives have been promised from Connersville for the meeting, with a possibility of more. It is possible that. Greenvilla and Newcastle may be represented also. A large delegation will be present from Eaton, Lewisburg, Verona and West Manchester, all in Ohio. In Wayne county as many are expecttd from Cambridge City as from Eaton, 0 and amateurs will be present from Fountain City, Boston and Centerville.
METHODISTS CONSIDER $1,000,000 BUILDING
(Br Associated Press) PITTSBURGH, Oct. 12 The Pittsbnrgh district conference of the Methodist Episcopal church which opened its ninety-eighth annual meeting here, will consider plans for the construction of a $1,000,000 church, edifice and office building combined. Under plans of the Smithfield church here a 13 story building would be erected on the present site in the downtown district of Pittsburgh. The structure would house the church proper, headquarters of the district conference, the Methodist book store, a gymnasium, a large auditorium and offices for the various church leaders. The present Smithfield church Is located on the corner of Smithfield street and Seventh avenue in the heart of the business district. It is one of the old landmarks of the city.
Gardeners Plan Excursion To Rockefeller's Estate (By Associated Press) NEW YORK, Oct. 12. A visit to the estate of John D. Rockefeller, at Pocantico Hills, near Tarrytown, was scheduled as part of the Columbus day program of the National Association of Gardeners which opened its annual convention yesterday. Many of the association's members ure head gardeners of wealthy men's estates throughout the country, some of which cost $150,000 annually lo maintain. The signboard nuisance is one of the chief topics of discussion before the convention.
Nicklas and Zimmerman Attend Lutheran Conclave The Rev. Alexander Nicklas, of St. .lohn's Lutheran church and Henry Zimmerman, principal of the parish school, are attending the annual convention of the Western District of the Joint Lutheran Synod of Ohio, which is in session in Fort Recovery, Ohio. Mr. Zimmerman is lay delegate to the .meeting.

STRANGERS ARRANGE TO CONTINUE CLUB About 45 strangers accompanied by 12 members of the Reid Memorial
