ENFORCEMENT LEAGUE MEETING ADDRESSED BY PROHIBITIONISTS EATOX. 0-. Oct. 7 Five prominent prohibition advocates constituting a "flying squadron" of the Anti-Saloon Wgue, addressed a meeting cf the Preble County Law Enforcement league, held nere- Thursday afternoon and evening In the Presbyterian church. . ; The party was made up of J. E. Russell, federal prohibition commissioner cf Ohio; John S. Kramer, former national "- prohibition commissioner; Don V. Parker, Ohio prohibition commissioner; J. A. White. Ohio Anti-Saloon league, and F. L. Dustman, editor of American Iasue. Russell. Kramer and Dustman spoke at the afternoon session, the former two speaking in a general way on prohibition and its enforcement, while the latter spoke on "Better Publicity". Judge A. O. Risinger introduced the speakers. The Rev. Charles Irwin presided, his church affording the meeting place. Risinger Welcomes Officials. Mayor Harry Risinger delivered an address of welcome. Mayor S. B. Smith, West Alexandria, and Mayor Charles Jordan, Lewisburg. spoke on "The Problem of the Village." Other addresses by local persons were: F. M. Van Ausdal, Lewisburg, on "Prohibition and the Sunday School"; Harry Polland, on "Membership"; the Rev. B. F. Petry, on ''Prohibition and ihe Church"; Stanley Hart, on "Prohibition and the Farm". The Rev. A. J. Bussard, local minister, conducted devotional. Parker addressed the evening meeting on "The State." White spoke on "The Anti-Saloon League." State Senator G. M. Kumler and Representative H. D. Silver presented addresses, each taking "The General Assembly and Prohibition," for their subject. E. E. McClellan, head of the Jackson township schools, spoke on "The Public Schools and Prohibition." The Rv. Hiley Baker and the Rev. E. W. Fitch, local ministers, had places on the prorram . County School Superintendent W. S. Fogarty presided. He is president of the county law and enforcement organization. Odd Fellows Meet. Odd Fellow lodges of the local district will meet October 20 at Gratis, for which Eden lodge, of Gratis, will be host. An afternoon session will b5 devoted to business and a program of entertainment, white an evening session will be given over to degree work by Eaton and New Paris lodges. Church Celebrates Remodeling. Following completion of repair and remodeling of the United Brethren church at New Hope, an all-day reception and meeting will be held Sunday in the church in recognition of the improvements. Dinner will be served at noon in the church basement. Boy Scouts Reorganize. After having disbanded a year or longer ago. Eaton's Boy Scout troop has been reorganized. Dr. H. Riley Spitler is again at the head of the troop as scoutmaster. Troop headquarters have been secured in the Gould building, on the third floor, over Woods' pharmacy. Delegates Attend Convention. One hundred delegates and visitors attended a convention of Women's Relief Corps of the fourth Ohio district here Thursday. Miss Mary Pace, of Dayton, district inspector, took a leading part in the activities of the meeting, which was held in Odd Fellowhall. A luncheon was served to the delegates and visitors by the Welfare Club of the Pythian Sister lodge at noon in Pythian temple.
