Well Dressed Children Are So Very Fascinating It is quite natural that mothers should want their children to be well dressed it adds so much to their attractiveness. And yet a very special talent is required to fashion interesting apparel for little folks. It is such a genius who assembled the clever Fall Clothes in our Children's Section. Here ready for early selection are charming groups of the highest quality apparel, happily priced.
Fall Skirts Feature Novelty Fabrics Self-satisfied things that they are as you might know by their haughty swish. Wool Skirts haven't changed their appearance a great deal. But in such telling details as new patterned fabrics and clever pocket effects they have altered just enough to make your Spring Skirt less modish than you will want to wear; exasperatingly so if it weren't that the new features make our Fall Skirts extremely smart and the prices so reasonable.
One-Piece Jersey Frocks So enthusiastic have women been over one-piece Frocks of Wool Jersey, that designers have not dared to omit this practical, smart type of frock for Fall. New colorings, however, and new methods of applying contrast jersey or wool embroidery, make them even more interesting. Sleeveless models, as well as those with long tailored sleeves, are developed in Genoese red, Forest browns, Terra Cuite and Sorrento.

TN the Book of Autumn Fashions it is written: Yellowstone, Pompeian, Mohawk, Bordeaux and Java shades. They're the names of some of the new shades for which artists searched high and low. And color is just one little angle of the beauty revealed by the new modes. Gorgeous hues find delightful parallels in distinguished lines, in novelty of garniture, which this Autumn has snatched inspiration from the Orient, in fabrics of rich texture, in a slim silhouette. In these displays are authentic interpretations of Parisian styles, as well as the most worthy creations of American designers.

SUITS Smartly Tailored Today you can choose a Suit to wear all Fall. Regardless of what Paris may know about gowns, what London may know about top coats and sport togs, no one will gainsay the fact that American designers know best how to make and American women know best how to wear, the strict Tailleur. The smartest suits of previous seasons never had such exquisite embroidery, such perfection in line and tailoring.
COATS of Rich Fabrics To say that, Fall Coats are 1-2-3-4 with subheads A-B-C-D, would be a most dull way of relating a feature story, but the new Coats are so decidedly different and varied that tabulation must almost be resorted to, to express even their salient characteristics. Veyr fashionable is the silhouette with rippled skirt and fitted bodice haughtily high collared, and another popular mode inspired by the Russian blouse has full sleeves and back and a belted front. Deep pile fabrics worked up with fur form an exquisite combination.
FURS Exhibit New Models There are really no "Thou shalt nots" among Furs this season; furriers through skillful matching of pelts have achieved such stunning alternations of gloss and shadow, such intricate designs, and several furs have been so harmoniously combined. Straight, but no less regal than last year's dolmans are luxurious Wraps and Capes.
Fall Ways of the New Frocks Loose panels nonchalantly fling all cares to the wind once it is determined that they are to drop below the skirt, an irregular hemline being the very A. B.C. of smart Fall Frocks. And sleeves, too. are wide and flowing, set in very deep armholes. But sleeves and panels are Fall Frocks' only eccentricities, otherwise they are most conservative affairs; straight skirts, wide bodices and one-side fastenings. Coat Dresses, fur-banded, and chemise Frocks dominate swagger street modes. Afternoon Dresses use draperies to charming advantage.
FALL HATS Oddly Shaped A Hat that's the starting point of your Fall Costume. When you visit our Millinery display you will see a group of bewitching Hats on which designers have showered many favors. Gay and sprightly colors, Mohawk. Pine, Pompeian red; eccentric bits of trimming, beads, buckles, enameled Oriental ornaments ;whimsically irregular contours, tricornes, bicornes, dimpled brum or slashed.
