To whom it may concern: Notice is hereby given by the Board of Public Works of the City of Rich mond, Indiana, that on the 8th day of September, 1921, they approved an assessment roll showing the prima facie assessment for the following described public improvement, as authorized by the Improvement Resolution named: Improvement Resolution No. 575 1920 for improving North "A" Street from North 2nd to North 3rd, and North 2nd Street from North "A" Street north to C. & O. R. R. Tracks by constructing a concrete roadway; cement sidewalk, and curb and gutter. The property subject to assessment for the cost of said improvement is all the property abutting on said im provement and all the lots on the west side of North 3rd Street north of North "A" St. within 150' feet of said improvement. NEW ELECTRIC LINE ERECTION TO GIVE OHIO FARMERS.LIGHT EATON, O.. Sept 10 Right to erect and maintain an electrical transmission line in Jefferson and Jackson townships has been granted by the county commissioners to George C. Fortney and the Liberty Light and Power company. One line will extend across Jefferson township and along the National road. Other lines will extend from the National road to New Westville and to Campbellstown. It is understood the lines will furnish current to farmers for light and power and to Campbellstown and New Westville for light. New Bonds Filed New bonds have been filed with the county commissioners by County Treasurer C. E. Samuels, County Re corder Thomas Ogden and County Surveyor C. A. Burns, who have entered upon their second terms of office. County Treasurer Samuels' bond i3 $50,000 and those of Recorder Ogden and Surveyor Burns $2,000 each. The bonds have been approved. " Would Abandon Roads Petitions seeking vacation of twe roads in the county have been filed with the county commissioners. One petition Is filed by M. J. Ccleman and others and seeks vacation of a road in Somers township, extending south from Camden-Winchester road to the Camden-West Elkton road. October 4 has been fixed as the date for view and hearing. The other petition Is filed by Wm. T. Miller and othera and seeks vaca tion of a road in Jefferson township, which begins at the Hawley improved road and extends north to the Paul and McKee road. Oct. 5 has been fixed as the date for view and hearing. Will Open Gravel Pit The county commissioners havo closed a contract with James Weir for opening of a gravel pit on 16 acres of his land north of Eaton for the purpose of procuring gravel for general road repair work in Preble county. The contract calls for 10.000 cubic yards at 20 cents a yard. The excavating will be done under contract by Clark Bros., of Winchester. Ind., at 40 cents a cubic yard. The commissioners have named A. L.- Reid, engineer, to measure the gravel excavated and removed. Start Training Course. Miss Helen Wynkoop and Miss Blanche Thompson have entered Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, for a nurse's training course.
