When the raid was conducted on ...the Pleasant-home Thursday nigt.t over 25 gallons of corn whiskey, 450 , gallons of corn and rye mash, a large ' . still, complete In every detail, a crate . of half pint bottles and a quantity of grain was -confiscated in a tin shop ; at the rear of Pleasant's home, 523 : South Twelfth street, and brought to headquarters by Officers Wierhake, VIehmeyer and Fields. .' Pleasant had over $500 in his possession when -he was searched at headquarters : Thursday night. He ; was the driver of the automobile j which turned over last Tuesday night ' near Fairhaven in which William Niebuhr was killed.

A search of the Interior of the jail

revealed a large kit of tools concealed in Miller's bunk. It is not known how the prisoner managed to smuggle the saws into the jail, as he has been held in solitary confinement since bis second attempt to break jail 10 days ago. The prisoners implicated in the jail breaking were Miller, Warren Waing, colored, held for murder; Hallett McHargue, held for murder, and William

The lecture by Mr, Nash concerns the application of the Golden Rule in business.
