i'AGE TWO FACTORYEMPLOYES BALLOT TO CHOOSE MEMBERS OF COUNCIL " The first practical operation of the new eystem In the International Harvester company, by which wishes of th workmen axe considered In forming policies and undertaking new operations, was tried Monday when employes of the plant balloted to nominate candidates for representatives on the council. The workmen are represented by one man from each of the seven divisions, the company having an equal representation of seven. Two nominees were named for each division, the two men in each division who received the highest number of votes being selected as the candidates. Election of the representatives will take place Thursday, July 30, when one of the candidates In each division will be selected by the workers. Little Time Lost. Taking the ballot Monday morning occupied only about two hours, according to George Hodge, who said voting began about 8 o'clock, and was finished by 10. The ballot boxes were circulated by employees so that there was a minimum of lost time from work. , Nominees for the positions of representative from the divisions, with their departments, were Division One: Fred T. Rothert. and William T. Sample, molding; Divtsion Two: Albert L.. Ammerman, castings, and John Schmidt, melting; Division Three Charles Hubert, machine erection, and Robert E. Roller, machine erection; Division Four: J. Bert Russell and William Rosa, tool room; Davision Five: Clayton Heselschwerdt forge, and Charles Mulholland. Furrow Opener Department; Division Six: William H. Sharpwood, and Frank Murley, paint; Division, Seven: Mark Scbissler, office worker, and William A- McAdams, miscellaneous.

MUNGiE ABOUT BROKE; TO NEGOTIATE LOAN
MUNC1E,- Ind.. June 27. Urging that a conference be held at once by the finance committee of the city council, the mayor and the city controller to decide the amount of a loan, uhich must be negotiated by the city to finance its veriou? departments, City Controller Harry W. Michael, in a letter read to the council at its special meeting last night, pointed out that the present condition of the treasury is such as to make it problematical whether or not the city's bills can be met for a period of 30 days. The letter sets forth that the city has received $S6,000 from the treasurer from the spring installment of taxes. Approximately $20,000 is still due, the communication reads. Against these figures, according to their letter, 1." $22,392.48 in unpaid bills. Monthly salaries total approximately $10,000 and the $43,000 loan, recently made, was completed to refund $43,000 in overdue notes.

John Schultz, Chicago, Dies at . His Home Word has been received here of the death .of John Schulti. of Chicago, formerly of' this city. The body will arrive here from Chicago, Tuesday morning and will be taken to the funeral parlors of Klute and Smith. Funeral services will be announced later.
