are to eend delegates to the- annual cummer conference of representatives of .the 341 American Legion posts In Indiana, which assembles in Culver neit Saturday and Sunday. - Commander Raymond Mather of the Harry Ray post, 65, announced Wednesday that he expected to attend. He Faid that probably one or two others may be appointed at the regular meet- . ing of the post to be held Wednesday night. Joseph Booth, adjutant of James Moore post, 340, and C. R. Richardson, charter member of the newly organized post, were appointed to attend the conference at the regular meeting of the body Tuesday night. A communication received from- national headquarters and read at the James Moore x post meeting Tuesday night, asked that delegates wear a black ribbon or crepe under their legion
badges, as mourning In honor of the
late national commander, Col. F. W.
Galbraith. Jr. Guests of Academy.
Delegates to the conference are to
be guests of Culver Academy, and will be fed and billeted at the academy's summer camp.' In order to encourage the sending of delegates from each of the legion posts in the state, an attendance prize is to be given to the district having the most posts represented. Attendance will be based on two representatives from each post. Two business sessions are to be held at the conference. The first will be cn Saturday afternoon and the second on Sunday morning. Delegates attending will be guests of the Culver
post at a smoker Saturday night. Sunday afternoon will be spent in recreation and amusements.

Father and Son Banquet
Planned by Chester Church CHESTER, Ind., June 22. The! classes taught by Mrs. Pearl Kemp and William H. Wesler of the M. E. Sunday school at this place will hold ( a Father and Son banquet at the church Thursday evening at 8 o'clock. I Thomas Wilson, of the Richmond Y. ; M. C. A., will be a speaker. Music i will be furnished by the Richmond j Grace church orchestra. Over 100
places have been reserved. Father's day was observed by the church last Sunday.
