EATON ODD FELLOWS WILL HOLD MEMORIAL SERVICE SUNDAY

EATON. O., June 3 Frank I. Brown of Dayton, will deliver the principal address at the annual memorial and decoration services of Eaton lodge.

No. 30, Odd Fellows, which will be held here Sunday afternoon. The services will be held in Mound Hill cemetery, at 2 o'clock. The Rev. E. W. Fitch, pastor of Barron Street Christian church, will preside as master of ceremonies. The Rev. Hiley Baker, pastor of the Christian church, will offer prayer and the Rev. J. E. Yingling, pastor of the United Brethren church, will pronounce the benediction. A committee from the lodge will decorate with flowers and emblems the graves of Odd Fellows in. the cemetery Sunday morning. Members of the lodga will assemble at Odd Fellows hall at one o'clock and form a procession to the cemetery, headed - by the Lewisburg band and

Emanuel Brewer are confined in the county jail on a grand larceny charge and Pearl Murray is held in Jail on a charge of non-support. All are unable to furnish bond. The jury will convene at 9 o'clock.

Mrs. Grace Miller Conger, class of '96, delivered an address of welcome to the class-of 1921, which was admitted to membership in the association. Emerson Young, class of 1921, responded. Miss Elsie Zelly, '08, presided at the festal board as toastmistress. Prayer was offered by Fred Gardner, 'IS. A toast, "Watch Your Step, Please," was given by Mrs. Harriet Fudge Wright. '96. Joseph Lugar, '21, contributed a saxaphone solo. F. Dano Jackley. 'J.8, entertained art sketches. "Brief Mention" was a toast presented by Joseph Markey, '09. PAGEANT OF SEASONS WILL BE PRESENTED ON ALL SCHOOL DAY Between 300 and 400 high school students are to take part in "The Pageant of the Seasons," to be presented at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, June 15, at the foot of Roosevelt hill, Glen Miller park. It is but

one of the many features of the "All School Day" program covering the entire day, and in which between 4,000 and 5,000 school children of the Richmond public schools participate. The pageant is being presented by the faculty and students of the local high school. "Spring" is to be pre

sented under supervision of Miss Wilma Craft and Miss Blanche Waite;

"Summer," will be given under supervision of Miss Eunice Brokaw and Miss Marion Mains; "Fall," is in charge of Miss Blanche Doran and Miss Inez Trueblood; and "Winter," is being staged under the direction of Miss Flora Broaddus and Mr. LeRoy Sellers. It is the plan to have the audience of students and parents who will witness the pageant, seated on the side of Roosevelt hill. "This arrangement

permits a full view of the pageant to te staged on the lower level. Spring Opens Presentation. "Spring" will be the first season of the pageant. The procession will be

led by Pan, piping a spring song, followed by the Spirits of Spring. Green Elves will plant seeds of Spring Flowers which quicken and grow under the influence of Sun, Wind and Rain. Then they are driven back to the ground by the blighting hand of the North Wind. Later they are revived by Sun, Wind and Rain. A Summer Thunderstorm opens the

SENATE ASSURES LEGION OF BONUS THIS SESSION WASHINGTON, June 3. Col. F. W. Galbraith, Jr., commander and other spokesmen for the American Legion, were before the senate special committee which began Thursday an investigation of the whole subject of bonus legislation for ex-service men. The session was behind closed doors. Members of the committee were said to have assured the legion spokesmen that it was the intention of senate leaders, irrespective of party or sectional affiliations, to pass bonus legislation at this session.

BUTTE DAILY SUSPENDS PUBLICATION; FUNDS LOW BUTTE, Mont.. June 3. The Butte Bulletin, established as a daily evening newspaper in 1917, suspended publication because of financial difficulties. In a statement by R. B. Smith, manager, it was announced that the publication owed $21,000; that it had assets amounting to $50,000, and that it hoped to resume publication of the daily in a month. In the meantime it will issue a small weekly. The Bulletin had the support of the Montana Federation of Labor. It championed the "one big union" idea.

The air is so pure in Arequipa, Peru, that from the observatory at that place, 8,050 feet above the sea, a black spot, one inch in diameter, placed on a wide disc, has been seen a distance of 11 miles through a 13inch telescope.
