POSTMASTER URGES BACKING OF CITIZENS FOR TRAINING CAMP A letter has been received today at the post office from Postmaster General Will H. Hays, urging the co-operation of the local postof fice organization in securing the best fitted men from the Citizens Military Training Camp at Camp Knox, Ky., July 21 to August 20. Application blanks are available at the post office. These when filled out including doctor's certificate must be mailed to the Fifth Corps Area Headquarters at Fort Benjamin Harrison. Three courses are bing offered, it is understood. These will be the red. white and blue in which the men will be graded as to instruction as privates, non-commissioned officers and commissioned officers. It is understood that Indiana's quota which is limited to 400 will be sent largely to the red camp or the first year of instruction for privates. - No Military Obligation . No military obligations will be incurred by attending one of these camps. The entire expense of transportation, clothes, food, etc., will be taken care of by the government. As expressed by Hilton U. Brown, chairman of the state executive committee of the Citizens' Military Training Camp Association, "The object of these camps is to take the stoop out of many backs and develop manhood, to teach the privilege and duties of American citizenship, to stimulate interest in military training as a benefit to the individual and as a vital asset for national defense."

WASHINGTON Once every five years there comes a great crook drama. In 1900 there was "Jim, the Penman." In 1905 there was "Leah Kleschna.' In 1910 there was "Alias Jimmy Valentine." In 1915 there was "Within the Law." Now in 1&20 comes Tod Browning with "Outside the Law," an underworld epic, starring Priscilla Dean and in which appear Lon Chaney. E A.. Warren, Ralph Lewis, Wheeler Oakman, Melbourne MacDowell and Wilton Taylor Whether this will be another classic of crookdom. of course, can -not safely be predicted. But the favored few who have alreadyviewed this Universal-Jewel film, pronounce it a smashing human drama, flavored with a romance of the underworld and the mystery of a terrible oriental justice. Washington stagegoers will have opportunity to form their own opinion of "Outside the Law," when Browning's play is shown starting Sunday. MURRAY. Did you ever hear of "Hashish Hounds"? The chances are that you didn't, and in order to set the reader light about such an important matter, it is necessary to state that "Hashish" is a drug, somewhat similar to opium. In choice English the "hounds" part of the phrase might be translated into 'addict." "Hashish" is almost as deadly as its name. To judge how deadly its effects are one must see "An Arabian Knight," the Robertson-Cole special, with Sessue Hayakawa in the leading role, which opens at the Murray theatre Monday for a run of three days. MURRETTE. Frank C. Badgley, one of the few actors who wear the British Military Cross for valor plays an important role in the screen version of "Scrambled Wives," the well known Broadway stage play of last season, which has been picturized for Associated First National release with Margue-

Harrison and Sylvia Dakin, who recently deserted musical comedy to display their talents in vaudeville, will headline the new bill opening Monday matinee at The Murray for the first half. They are assisted at the piano by Billy Hogue, and they bill their offering as "The Three of Us," or "A Nifty Musical Absurdity." Both the principals are brilliant performers, exceedingly versatile. Mr. Harrison is an excellent comedian, who shows his musical comedy training in his cleverness to take advan tage of every opportunity to create laughs. Miss DaKin is comedienne on a par with her clever partner." The following acts are also underlined; Vera Sabina, known as "Vaudeville's Artistic Dancer," assisted by Maurice Spitzer; Cliff Clark in "Tunes and Topics;" and Marcelle Hardy, termed "The Personality Girl," while Sessue Hayakawa, the popular Japanese star, will be the screen attraction in his latest comedy-drama. "An Arabian Knight." revealing this famous artor in an entirely new role. Head

lining the bill opening Thursday comes "Now and Then." a miniature musical comedy composed of eight people, six Broadway show girls, and two comedians. This act carries all

their own scenery, and the girls are gowned to the minute with the very latest of Broadway's fashionable display. Owing to the length of this act.

there will be but three acts shown this hair, the remaining two acts being Follis and LeRoy. a man and woman team known as "The Peppy Duo." and Barry and Layton, billed as "The Ail-

Around Boys." The . screen featur will be "The Deep" Purple." taken from the play by Paul Armstrong, produced by R. A. Walsh and featuring Miriam Cooper. , i ' . . .
